CloseOK so if you've been paying any attention to the sky lately you might have noticed two "Stars" hanging next to each other motionless overhead. SO it turns out they are Venus and Jupiter (Yes folks, without Adderall I write like Ragnar) but the moon is going to join them tonight and the next day which is supposed to be extremely beautiful. Just wanna drag everyone away from their monitors to see.

What time, I can see the very low and thin moon and I think above an enormous Venus, but no Jupiter, it is around 10h30 in France, so 5:30 PM in the US. It is already quite amazing, particularly the size of Venus. So when?thx
It's actually about 4:54 here, Chana. Nevertheless I plan to catch a glimpse of this, so thanks for the reminder!
Yeah, I noticed that too. As an aside, the view of the night sky from a flight deck is really something. The moon was looking great too.

This was a great time to find out that my camera is broken.
Funny part of the story is that a friend and I went for a random walk tonight before I even read this thread.. And I was commenting about how the sky was super clear and the stars were weirdly bright, so I took this picture, (not knowing anything special was happening tonight) and then get home, log on to RMN, and see this thread :D
Anyway, enjoy some crappy phone camera pic time:
