QUESTIONS FOR ATELIER SCRIPT

I really like these Atelier script but I can't figure out how they work since the everything is in Spanish. Also, for some reasons, I don't see many people using them compared Yanfly or Victor 's scripts.

Is there any translation for these scripts, and am I even allowed to use the materials in the demo for my own game ?
I'm pretty sure there's no translations for them, so you'll have to decipher them yourself. And yes, you're allowed to use those materials, although using some of them like the ones having anime pictures, or the actual Atelier thing on them is a bit..lazy if you decide not to change them. xD
Well, I am not going to use those anime pictures, only the HUD. :P

But does anyone know how to use these, because I could really use some help.

Such as this one, I am trying to make the health bar to be visible during battle, and make it gone when the enemy is defeated. :D

The script you get from the demo is pretty much already set up to do that lol. You can configure it if you want like if you want to move it, but the script is basically plug and play, as long as you have the materials in your graphics/system folder. :)
No no no... It only appears when the enemy is being hit and then disappear shortly after. I want to make it appears all the time and be gone when the enemy is defeated. :P

I tried messing with the script a bit, and managed to make the health bar visible the whole battle, but can't make it gone after the fight.
Well, I'm a native Portuguese speaker, so I guess I could help with translating.

I doubt I'd be of much use, since it's in Spanish...*

But hey, what's the part you're having trouble with?

*I'm being sarcastic. The site's brazilian, and as such the text you don't understand is in Portuguese.
LOL Sorry, I really can't distinguish the two :D

The part I am having trouble with is figuring out what the descriptions in each script are saying. Google Translate sometimes doesn't make sense.

For example, now I want to make the health bar appears all the time and begone when the enemy is defeated. Currently, it only appears when the enemy takes damage.

If it can't be done, I could ignore it and move on to the next one. :P

Now I can see better. ;)

Also, when I use this script, I got an error on line 738.

I'll download the two scripts you linked to and translate the Portuguese text into English then. I bet you're not the only one having trouble understanding the Atelier RGSS scripts because of the language barrier.

EDIT: That distribution method is bullshit! If I want to download one script, mere lines of code, I can't just download the code. I have to download a whole game demo with a bunch of scripts that just so happens to include the one I want. That is bullshit!
I guess that is just his way of showing how the script works.

Oh never mind, the error for line 738 is gone now :D
Man these scripts are great :D

Does anybody know how to make this script work for Quest Log and Formation ?
http://www.atelier-rgss.com/RGSS/Menu/ACE_Menu12.html

Basically, it lets you insert new background into the menu, but it only shows up for the default menu. I have 2 extra options for Quest Log and Formation (Custom), and the background and particle effects don't show up on these two.
Seeing as how the comments don't really mention the problem you're having, I doubt this'll help a lot, but I translated the Enemy HP Meter Script into English. Wel, sort of. It's mostly translated, but I found that Engrish is way harder to translate into proper English than Portuguese. I'm still trying to figure out what dispose means. Maybe I'll be able to be of more help once I work that out.

Here

I'll get to the other scripts later.
Sweet ! Thank you very much ! :D

And yeah... I guess I 'll just have to stick with it... :)

Doesn't dispose mean "get rid of", I may be all wrong there though?
Yeah, but I guess he meant how it affects the script or what it does.
Anybody knows how to use this script ? :D

For example, how do I know where and which map the character will be transported to when they choose a stage ?

Thanks, now that 's easier :D

# B - ID of the map to which the player will be teleported.

I had a hard time understanding this... Phew...

Oh and I still need help with this, it 's not really a translation problem but more like a technical issue. ;)

Sorry 'bout that. I've been busy with university work and haven't had much time to dedicate to my own games, much less this. If it makes you feel better, I intend to translate every single Atelier RGSS script for Ace once I get more free time.
