Funny, I thought this site had only 1 Admin and a handful of Mods. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I could break it down further, but this isn't the place for that.

if they paid attention to their profile, it says you need to be a donor. So them getting tricked was their fault >:D
And they'd be so deep in makerscore that ragequitting is almost not an option. It's like in a game that you are in the final boss and you can't quit now that you've invested so much time into it.
make a makerscore incentive if you reach some number like 1000, 2500, 5000 or something, then let those people edit their user titles
