steam is kind of a pain in the ass. If I buy vxace from steam do I have to log into steam every time I use ace or can I just download the stand alone program and use a key from steam (if I even get one?)

As far as I know, once you have the program on your computer, you can use it without logging into steam. You may have to OPEN steam, but you don't have to be online.

I just got it. The Steam client (no standalone) somehow as it downloads it installs it on your computer. Pretty much it is ready to use once the download is finished. There's no key that I'm aware of. Also, means that you probably means you can't port the program to another computer.
