WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD FICTIONAL OR FANTASY ARTISAN CRAFT OR TRADE

you guys have any idea on or good sources?
More of an extra detail on something that already exists, but enchantment by sewing is pretty cool. Something like imbuing magic onto ribbon that then carries certain properties, or manually sewing runes onto cloth. Would be nice if you're looking for an alternative to muscley blacksmiths and jazz-hands wizards for equipment enchanters.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Runic Doily Embroidery
Monolith Carving
Dragonscale Purse Making
Kraken Sushi
Demonic Lavastone Sculpture
Furniture Summoning
Merfolk Basket Weaving
Undead Abomination Piececrafting
Ancient Temple Ruining
Uh... I can't think of anything purely fictional right now...

Gemology is a real-world practice, but would be pretty different in a fantasy setting, since gems and crystals always have magical powers.

How about baking actual magic brownies? Made by actual Brownies?

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Temple Prostitute
Offal Purifier
Real, Actual Pet Psychic
Hedge Wizard/Witch
Dead Body Collector
Fishmonger
Salesman
Dock workers
Wind Ship Sailors
Crafters and Builders of magical constructs
Metal workers who work with magical and non-magical materials
Herbologists
Exotic animal trainer

Seriously, though, it's your world. Create new occupations that fit with it. If there's an excess of dark magic brought on by a blight that occurred in the past, then perhaps Dark Magic Sensors who sense, cleanse and collect that magic. If there's an excess of a kind of animal, hunters who exterminate it. If there was a war and now there are a bunch of magical refugees, then consensus takers or city-funded healers or thieves or community workers or builders or translators or militia or mythic hiring agencies or anything! It's really up to you to come up with ideas that fit your world.

A very easy idea would be a fantastic heraldry: imbuing family crests onto objects, with the twist that they add protection or elemental characteristics.

If this is something for a plot character then I'd recommend tying it into the themes and story of the game. But if you just want random professions for NPCs I can do this all day.

Mind Control Detection and Suppression Specialist for the Police Department
Two Headed Ogre Defense Attorney + Prosecutor
Warlock who summons Wandering Eyes for the visually impaired
Ancient ruins building inspector
Dwarven Brewer
Tentacle Massage Therapist
Vampire nurse working at blood bank
Sunken Treaure Seeking scuba diver
Imperial Tax Collector
Cybutler, like a cybor--oh ok you got it
Dragon veterinarian
Giant beekeeper
Trainer of cadaver-finding hellhounds for the police
Innkeeper who also sells "miracle remedies" as a scam, claiming to be able to treat any injury or illness
Holy Magic Surgeon
Maid who is actually a witch who enchants brooms and teakettles to move by themselves
Slime Monster working at a recycling plant
Gryphon Riding Mail Carrier
Chemist who was developing a smooth hand lotion that accidentally petrified him for a thousand years, until you healed him with Esuna
Aquamancer working as a firefighter
LockeZ
Tentacle Massage Therapist

This is so wrong it's right. Someone make this happen please

Is that a massager of tentacles, or a massage by tentacles?

This seems like a v. impt. distinction.

It could go either way. Everyone wants to get a massage from a kraken, but krakens need massages sometimes too.

the center act of would base on this with guild costume/uniform included.

of course the guild the tentacle massage therapist is pretty damn funny.

maybe the guild of musical/ jazz wizards give me idea!

Keep them coming guys.
Grimoire binder. Much more difficult than regular book binding, since the spells inside sometimes don't get along.

Alchemist wholesaler. Provides raw ingredients for alchemy practitioners. This could a prime location for selling Vendor Trash.

Runic tattoo artist. May or may not tattoo legitimate spells onto their clientele; most of their customers wouldn't know the difference regardless.

Glass blower. Not a fantasy profession, but probably much more significant in a setting with lots of potion bottles and such, but no industrialized glassware trade.

Surveyor: Measures the geography, leylines, spiritual presences, and prospective monster infestations of land slated for development.

Airship Builder
Golem Repairman
Carrier Pidgeon Trainer
Carrier Pidgeon Poop Sweeper
Steam-Powered Robot Maid
Inventor
Terraforming Geomancer (uses magic to reshape cliffs, swamps, etc. so that buildings can be built there)
Holy Inquisitor (like the guy who makes his own torture devices in Princess Bride)
Demon Blood Potion Concocter
Enchanter
Bearer of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch
Sphinx
Indiana Jones Style Archaeologist
Paleontologist Necromancer (revives fossils as undead creatures)
I am laughing my ass, of but I need something that would fit into the late medieval early modern guild system.

Oh, you didn't say that.

I also don't know what that implies. Wouldn't practically any profession fit in the guild system?
It apprentice journeyman master

Guild regulate price and quality of the craft/skills and most and most journeymen have to pay dues travel and produce a masterpiece on their own time to become master them selfs with right to run there own business.

at the same time these list are great and equally comical.

I am fairly certain that most people here are passingly familiar with the guild system, and also that most of the suggestions could fit within it fairly easily.

Yeah, I already knew that much about guilds. But those rules don't disqualify anything that was suggested so far. The guild system is a way of training, but it could be used by any profession in the world.
