Hey, guys. Long time no see, huh? I've been pretty inspired lately. I've also been looking through that one game I was working on long, long ago: Final Fantasy Essence. You can look at the wikia here if you don't remember: http://ff-fandom.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_Essence .
Well, the point I'm making this topic is that I've been inspired to redo it, well it's been in the back of my head for a long time. Life... well it got in the way. I've grown up a lot more and life is just... well if you're over 20, you know. Anyway, enough with that!
I am in need of a new, BRAND NEW, crew for this project, and I want it to be the best RPG Maker game on the internet! I know we can do this, it happened before. I haven't done too much work on the redo, but the story and idea is there. I have changed the characters a bit so far, as well as the name of the game, but that won't be reveiled just yet =).
Okay, finally... shut up, Celes.
This is what I need:
Co-Writer - This position is basically for online and creative writing. I need someone who can rewrite what I write and make it... well fancy. I am a very bad writer (in the sense that I can't be creative with making the story, charater bios and stuff sound interesting.) Also, some help with dialog and ideas is also greatly appreciated!
Co-Spriter - I can sprite, I really can. But I can't sprite all the time, as I have work, among other things to do. I need someone who can sprite in the same art style the game is in:
I am using these old tiles, by the way. What I need is someone who can basically sprite objects, other tilesets, other characters if I need them, some unique-to-the-game enemies (this can be a seperate position if you're good at characters and tiles, but not monsters and the like)
Composer (Can come later as of right now) - I use to be picky; wanting a composer who can compose JUST LIKE NOBUO UEMATSU. Well, this is no longer the case. I want YOU to compose how you sound, not someone else. I would like someone who would give me both midi and mp3 files, but just midi is fine, too. I won't complain. But I do need a composer who can do rock sounding tracks, orchestral tracks, Jazz, marching... all across the map.
Scripter (Can come later also) *update later
Artist (This can come whenever) - This is basically pretty easy if you're good at drawing and using things like photoshop or illustrator or whatever program you prefer. I need someone who can draw a logo, the characters (this is mostly for trailers and forums), and whatever we need for the game. It can be however you draw it. I'm not accepting stick figures, though!!! LOL!
Thanks to everyone who previously worked on Essence. You guys did fantastic and I appreciate every one of you: Sinmora, Closedworlds, Atoa, Jonatan, Mark, and Matty.

I want to apply, but not for the things you want.
First of all, I'd like to say that my imagination is off the charts. I've literally never encountered anyone in my life who create things as much as me. Oh, I know those people exist and there are many who think even more than me, but I've never encountered. I have hundreds of thousands of .txt files on my computer with my ideas in them, since I can just whip up Notepad and write something down. These ideas range from story plots, to mathematical concepts, to battle system ideas, to poems, to characters of a game, to languages... there are just way too many. My mind so in fact so active that I have insomnia haha. But, I also have way too much free-time to do things, and it usually is not, surprisingly, sleeping. Here are the things that I would like to do:
1. Organization
I know this sounds weird, but I like to archive things and organize things, and this project of yours looks pretty legit to require something like that. I mean, plans require great schedules!
2. Story/Character development
This is what I mainly do. I always have a vision of a world in my mind and I have to write things down. I've tried to apply these to games, novels (which I've tried to write, but have failed), movies, etc. I, too, have dreamed to create a Final Fantasy game called "Final Fantasy Genesis"
3. Composing
I'm not the best composer, but I'm pretty good, and it's my secondary role, and collaborating with that other guy would sound like a challenge worth taking up. I have spent hundreds of dollars on music composition software, so yeah, I'm pretty enthusiastic about that. I'll edit this post with songs I have made in a little bit. :)

You are one of the most amazing people I have met in a long time! You're exactly someone I'm looking for. Your musical style would go with Felipe sooo well (he said he likes doing slower, more ambient tracks, which is fine for cutscenes, dungeons and such. You seem to be more melodic, perfect for the battle themes among others)! I definitely need someone like you.
I, myself, am bad at organization so having someone to help would be appreciated tremendously!
I will be busy a lot within the next few months because I got a new job that requires me to work 6 days a week, of course this won't stop me, but to have someone work on the story and characters while I am at work would help so so so much!
If you have been wanting to work on a FF fangame, this game is definitely for you.

Ah, yes Noel! How have you been? I think you worked with me on Essence at one point... I don't remember when. I think you were helping me with story. Anywho, can you sprite the same way that's in the video? If you can't do tilesets, that's fine. most of Essence's tiles are edits of FFV, VI, Live a Live, and remade from the original mobile version of Dimensions.

FFV and FFVI sprite style is similar, so I see no problem with that. I am unfamiliar with the graphic style of Live a Live and the original mobile release of Final Fantasy Dimensions. And the standard field sprite dimensions per frame are 16×24px? Not those 16×16px? Because IIRC at one point there were FFV-styled field sprites in Essence.

I was talking about the tiles. Live-a-Live uses tiles based off FFV. The character sprites will be FFVI styled. Sorry I should have clarified that XD

Have you thought about making a blog on your game page so that your subscribers can help out? And how about trying sites like tumblr and reddit for exposure too?

We want to wait a bit more before actually creating a game page. To me, I want there to be content that looks and sounds exciting. I can't wait to share what we got, though.
