CloseI'm not exactly sure where to post this, since the Help Me! forum is for making your game. I wanted to know what the rules were for submitting a game on here.
When I posted one of my visual novels I was asked for more screenshots, because of a censored nudity warning in my description. I ask what the rules were since when from what I read the only thing that's not allowed is a poorly designed game. But I never got an answer back on the subject.
I been waiting a week and I've have 1 of my 2 submission accepted but my oldest one is still pending. The one that is pending is a little mature then others so it's been bugging about the rules. I checked everywhere, but I can't find anything on the rules. Like our we allowed nudity in our games? Mine had use of drugs which is why I was looking to check the rules.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

If it's still pending while the newer one was accepted, you might not have actually met the minimum requirements. Until you have three screenshots and a certain number of words in your description, the moderators won't even see the submission.

Now that you guys mention it, maybe the rules could benefit from defining what exactly is treated as "pornographic material".
Desert Nightmare and Beautiful Escape for instance feature short scenes of nudity and sexual intercourse. They involve low res sprites though, so the rule might not apply there but it probably would regarding digital art.
The rule did apply for Marvel Brothel if I'm not mistaken. The game lets the player choose whether they want to turn the TV screens on or off during the game. Said TV screens display pixellated images of real porn.
So where exactly is the line drawn?

I... don't remember getting a PM asking about more information about the rules? As for the game in question, you haven't resubmitted it, so it doesn't show up in the queue. It needs to show up in the queue before it can even be considered for being accepted to the site.
The only one of yours in the queue at the moment is the Drug one, and I've been hmming over it due to the maps. It's been there for less than a week, so I've still time before I need to get back to you about it.
As for pornography, it's a case-by-case thing. Like mapping. Some ways it's presented in a game are a definite no (Hawkman), while in others it exists for a reason and isn't done in a way that is horribad (the games Avee mentioned).
The rule of thumb is that the more detailed it is and the more gratuitous it is, the less likely it will be allowed through.

Yeah, subtlety in nudity is the way to go, really. Shit like Violated Hero and Mon-mosu quest ain't here for that reason.
But I think Artistic nudity should be allowed, albeit with fair warning.

Charblar@ Oh I see that. It's under screenshots so I didn't think that meant the game itself. Another place I went too allowed porn in the games, but not in the screenshots.

It's only been there less than a week (about 5 days) and it can take up to a week for a game to go through (sometimes a little longer, depending on how well represented it is).
A good idea is to show off parts that are really interesting to draw players in. So interesting areas that are mapped nicely, for example, or some part of gameplay that will make people want to try it out.

Only 5 days? Hmm... I thought I posted it before the weekend. Who knows, I'm terrible with time.

True, even though I was mainly worried about easter egg spoilers. I added a lot to the game. I can add some more screenshots tomorrow.
