How to I get it to use the left analog stick instead of the directional pad? I tried pinnacle but it doesn't work, even mapping the arrow keys to it. Anyone can play vx ace games with the stick on the gamepad? Thanks!

I have a 360 gamepad and the left stick works for me by default...

I think most gamepads have one of the joysticks default to the d-pad by a selection switch, if it doesn't auto detect it or have both work. My logitek has a button to switch between d-pad and joystick, and it works fine for VXAce games. Maybe check your controllers user manual or its driver, and see if there is an option there?
