FIDCHELL "LET'S TRYING" AGAIN

Well, guys, it's that time again.

After a very long break I am going back to doing Let's Tries of RPG Maker games. Yippee! The ways things work this time is that anyone out there wanting to see your game played and dissected will post in this thread, but instead of taking everything and putting it in a queue, I will pick and choose what I wish to play, and there is no specific order going on here.

When I pick a game, I will of course play it, but a Let's Try indicates that I won't finish it; sometimes this won't be the case. If your game grabs my attention enough, I will actually turn it into a full-on Let's Play and try to get through the whole thing. There is no real limit to what I will accept. I will play from engine 2000 to VX ACE and I will play any genre. When I make a video I will be requesting permission to post it under your game's Media tab, so watch out for that.

There's nothing much more to say about this, so go ahead and start posting your wonderful game! Just be prepared because I'm not all about praising a game if it doesn't actually deserve it seeing as how I can be quite critical when it comes to RPG Maker games. Despite this I will attempt to give the best feedback I am able. I may also never pick up your game, so there's that too. D: (I will add all chosen games to my Play List)

EDIT: Oh right I should probably post a link to my channel huh? https://www.youtube.com/user/JakeSpringhorn

SUPER BATTLE KIDDO EXPERIENCE! is a game that I got about 3-5 hours worth of gameplay done on before being bogged down by the traditional RPG formula. It's one of my most normal games despite still being weird... while I don't really plan on finishing it, I would probably reuse the cast and some of the ideas in a future game and would love feedback on it, especially from somebody who doesn't necessarily know the tropes of my work.
Shards, a game that I did for IGMC 2015. It's about 2-3 hours long, depends heavily on your strategy skills. I am in dire need for feedback, so I would love to hear a critical opinion.

Do you...want to Let's Try it again? Some issues were fixed from last time, but only some. Maybe you'll be able to get past the 2nd actual dungeon of the game this time too. >_> <_<
How complete do the games have to be? Released state or like a beta?

I seem to remember bugging you about this before, but here's one!

It's a colorful game about cats with guns who are faced by an oppressive cult of pig tyrants.

Ah, hello again. :P I'm not sure if I've played your redo back then, but how much was changed since my last thread?

Doesn't really matter to me. Just make sure it works!

You actually have, but unfortunately it was pretty far down the list and I gave up before I could get to it.
Well, let's see....the world map is the same except if you follow the path, there's a tablet that tells you where things are that you're supposed to go to. The village is still the same because haven't had the time to redo it nor an idea of how to fix it up. Misty Lake is a bit different though. SDM should be different, I don't know if you've played the changed version of that or not. Actually, from the video I saw, you only got through the first dungeon. But there are rocks to get you across now and you shouldn't have to worry about looking for a spot to walk across the water in Misty Lake now. Music might not work in some areas as I removed some/renamed some and the latest music pack might not have those songs in them.

That's...all I can think of.

Lol it's cool, was just a casual observation.
:D Heyo! I'm the guy who make Illusions of Loyalty (which I recall that you enjoyed quite a bit!).

I have a much shorter game up now (1-2 hours, depending on your playstyle), set in the same game world (Heresies of Discord), that you might enjoy.

Lemme know if you get around to this one, eh?

Since I won't have to double post now, I'd like to extend my gratitude and respects to Fidchell for let's playing Perseverance: Adherence. Always so thrilled to see a new episode!
Okay, well I'm done playing Perseverance..except not really. After a recent playthrough, I've kinda been put off, and since the game isn't really done yet, I've decided I'm going to wait until it's finished. Still, though, I'm not sure if I'll go back to doing videos of it, but we'll see. You guys should see the last video as well; towards the end, it gets quite hilarious.

Bizarre, overall I'd say you've clearly put a lot of effort into the game, but in the later portion of the second half, I feel it has taken a bit of a nosedive. The environments and aesthetics are not very consistent, and the art itself also lacks consistency in quality, which is a big turn-off in my eyes. The gameplay is a little awkward and the lag is horrendous, but you've told me you're fixing it, so that's good. What I suppose I can admit I did like is the colorful cast of characters, although their dialogue is not that great, and as I said before, I'm impressed with the effort put forth in this project. Either way, please do finish it and touch it up where it needs touching up.

I'll be moving on to Craze's project, so look out for it.

Haha, all good. There's definitely a feeling of the game being rushed towards Act 5, as it was. On release I'm hoping to have everything fixed and awesome, and the art consistent. Good luck with Craze's game and other stuff!
