OLD/LOST RPGMAKER GAMES - SEGNIN'S RARE/OBSCURE RM GAMES REQUEST TOPIC

Thanks for your help :) And EDIT. Made a mistake. I have more of them then I thought already. Somehow my local filenames were wrong. I removed the ones I have.

Lets make it a bit worse. Data mining ftw. ;)

The next list is a bit longer (247 items) so I won't post it directly here, is a bit spammy xD

https://pastebin.com/GFJAs2zm

The list contains games still listed on rpgmaker.net that only have "external download links, that are dead". Also machine generated, probed with jDownloader, so will have some false-positives (but even if they are, you should download them ASAP, they are high risk to go offline!). I already prefiltered stuff like itch.io and gamejolt.

I found some of them

I nearly cried when I came across this thread. I was able to recover some stuff that I thought was gone forever.

Thank you all for what you've been doing. I never thought this would matter so much back in 2005. I guess I thought it would go on forever?
Old lost and unfinished rpg games and demos right?

I wonder how many of the game creators just one day disappeared and were never heard from again or died?..

Hello,
I already asked this somewhere else and I was redirected to this topic:
So, a long long time ago (I'm talking about before Rpg Maker XP and sequels even existed I think), I found an project made with rpg maker 2000 which consisted in a very well made replica of the famous jet bike minigame of chrono trigger.

I've looked everywhere in the web and in my old pc and external hdds, but I can't find it anymore, I wanted to take a peek at the code to work out something similar for my project.

Anyone remebers it? If anyone has it and could pass it to me I would be glad.
Thanks :)
Hello @GhostRider,

You can find it here. It's by the dev from Aurora Wing. I hope it's what you looked for.
Wow this thread is blessed it make me cry to find some stuff from 2012 who i lost on my other PC, so thanks a lot guys. The only one i didnt find here is the Eyes of the Forest. It was an adventure one i really loved cuz it was the first one i played who had diferent endings.

Edit: Found the link, but the download was from rapidshare: https://rpgmaker.net/games/4119/

I gave the download links on the gamepage a search on archive.org with no result. I can see my comments on that gamepage that suggested I was willing to try it out, but, I don't 100% remember if I ever did. If I did get it, I probably didn't back it up. The author's most recent post on RMN was in 2013, so, I'd have to suspect that sending them a PM will not do any good.

Of course, if I try to Google "eyes of the forest download", or "eyes of the forest game download", the gamepage previously mentioned pops up with the second search. However, all the other results I'm seeing have very little else to do with the game in question.
Hello,

I am posting here in hopes that someone might have a lead toward finding an old game that I believe may have been made using some version of RPG Maker.

I am currently part of a search effort to find an old game of an unknown that is currently being called "That evil farming game".

As there is a possibility that this game was an old RPG maker project, I thought this would be a great source to ask. Here is a summary of the game. For the record, I have not played the game, this information is coming from the original searcher of the game:

- You are a farmer of some sort. You get into an argument with a character that is thought to be your wife and kill her at the beginning of the game.
- The police get suspicious at the disappearance of your wife and will come to search your farm for evidence, which requires you to not only hide the body, but move it regularly to reduce the chance of the police catching on.
- The gameplay was similar to harvest moon, you had to farm to make money all while trying to avoid getting caught.
- There was a town with townspeople you could interact with
- Apparently it supported a save system, you could upgrade your farm to add additional hiding spots, and also it wasn't a super short game.

The OP said he likely played this game post 2008, but has no idea when it was made, just that the graphics and gameplay kind of reminded him of harvest moon, aside from the murder aspect.

The majority of the investigation is taking place on https://www.reddit.com/r/ThatEvilFarmingGame/. There is a giant list of debunked games there along with more details.

If you think you know something about a game that sounds similar, please let me or the community know. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

I noticed Ragnar was looking for Supar Jablomfy Maen. I happen to have that one! This was interesting to me because it was a pretty solid platformer done in 2k and even inspired me to create Virtualis--another pixel-based platformer--in 2k3. Unfortunately newer machines have some issues with key-input process commands dropping? Maybe running it in compatibility mode fixes it, I haven't experimented too much!

does anyone knows the name (and the download link if possible) of a dragon ball fanmade game in rpg maker? I can't remember the name but here are the details that i remember:

The game was made in rpg maker 2k or way before that. The screen is blue-colored (seems like the default setting)

The start screen has the dragon ball opening music. The image was a dragon ball logo and some clouds iirc.

The story is about the raditz saga. It starts off in the fight with piccolo in the tournament.

You can control krillin, yamcha, tien, and chiaotzu in one party at some point.

There is a battle where you control piccolo and fight gohan that turns into giant ape. You must use makankosappo spell to end the fight.

You need to climb a very long stair as goku to reach to the blue guy (i forgot the name) that lives with a monkey. Goku needs to play hide and seek with him before you can continue the story.

I think that's all i remember. It's not a really good game, but it was one of the games that i played on my childhood and stuck with me. I tried to find it on google but i can't seem to succeed since i can't remember the name.

Thanks in advance!
Well.. I don't know since there are too many DB rm2k3 fangames and I am pretty sure I never played that one.

BUT you could try here:

DragonBallWarriors since if I am correct downloaded a ton of them from this site...

EDIT: can't seem to find it. the site has a lot of dragon ball rpg maker games tho.
I just wanna quickly jump in here, I wanna thank everyone whose contributed during this time. Especially Marrend, TheGameArchivist, Ghabry and TheRpgMakerAddict, (I really hope people recognize the hard work you guys are all doing here, it really means a lot. So thank you! Especially newcomer, TheRpgMakerAddict; this guy is a super star; not only is he playing these games but he's reviewing them like crazy!!

I wanna keep this short today however - I came across a weird occurrence today while trying to update the archive. It involves mediafire and copyright material: Apparently Final Fantasy Time and Again was taken down on May 2020. Which is strange, because Final Fantasy fan games made on rpgmaker, have always been under the radar? - I think what happened was, Final Fantasy Time and Again, shares the same name as a recently released OST Time and Again: Final Fantasy XIV. And the ESA simply sends mediafire a series of words to look for and take down said material - a similar event happened a few years ago, when they were taking down "Smash Bros" and "Tales of" media on mediafire - In fact, Tau had uploaded a copy of the rpgmaker game "Homeland" which was also taken down, because it shared the same name to SHOWTIME's HOMƎLAND, a television show that premiered in the states.

Homeland has since been reuploaded and hasn't been taken down since. But I felt like this is worth mentioning, because it would be important to know, if you're uploading games to mediafire - It's probably nothing to worry about, but I'll update you guys once I've figured out a way to reupload FFTA again - if any of you guys come across something similar with fan game names, let us know.

Hopefully I'll have some more progress made and we'll talk more before January - I apologize for not having a chance to properly greet and respond to everyone, especially with what's been going on. But I just want to say it's really cool to see some new faces here. Thank you, it means a lot.

Stay safe everyone.

EDIT: Thank you Ghabry.
Thank you TheGameArchivist.
Thank You Gari.
Why is (Soulflowers) my game on that list :)? I still check it regularly and everything seems to be fine.
I may not be very active but that is because I am currently working on a Unity game and some time in the future I plan on doing a sequel on it.
Anyways keep up the good work and if you find anything wrong just leave a comment on it and I will certainly see it.

D U D E!
It's so good to see you writing in here again!

(I agree that RPGMakerAddict is really doing a lot lately, between playing a lot of games, reviewing them and keeping both the forum and Discord lively with interesting contents. Gotta thank him and all the other guys too!)

Happyt to hear you! Hope everything is fine!

Thanks a lot, and to you OldPatto too! It's already two years and I won't stop since I am having fun!
I hope also to finish a couple of translations (to english) of 2k3 games someday... but time is a cruel tyrant.

Don't worry, if you (or someone else) need I have an archived copy of FFTA.
I was looking for Sacred Blue, the previous game of the developer Tempura, who has made the RPG Seraphic Blue - the site is long dead, has anyone managed to save it?
edit: thanks for the help, someone on uboachan managed to find it and shared it kindly (along with many other old games)
