I have a huuuuge list of games to wade through, if I post a google docs sheet, would you guys help find the author? I have about 700 to go through and with a csv sheet I can automate renameing. Finding the author is by far the hardest and most time consuming part.

just want to chime in quickly. Yes, go ahead with this♥. the main thread is very hard to work with, so anything that always for easier access and editing that other users can contribute to is a definite plus here. I'll even like add it to the main list.

Thanks! You're the best. That actually seemed to be a different version of it and the one I uploaded only seemed like I was trying to 'restart' the game. Not sure how I uploaded that one, but I guess I did. It leaves you stuck in a cutscene that just repeats eternally until you close the game entirely, so I'm pretty sure no one wants to see this. It's doing an MC ESCHER! YAHOO!!

Does anyone have this whole complete story saved? This just Screams "Make me an rpg maker game!" Love crossovers! thanks...
Btw for downloaders Tales of Falconia has tons of missing maps, and Infinite Crusade does not have the RTP.exe file. Where is the executor??? I am dissapoint.

In Tales of the Worlds, there is also a rather 'particular bug' that is even in the introduction of the game. When the game is in a castle after a screen of text, I think an autorun event becomes a parallel process, where you can freely move around though there is 'nobody' to be seen when you can move around, I suspect that the 'hero' is made 'invisible' via an event graphic change, and then the event will eventually teleport the hero to the next screen. Perhaps for the author, there should be a test hero, a dummy, and then an invisible party member that are used for playtesting and cutscenes? Just trying to help out.
Final Fantasy 1 (rpg maker edition)

Hey all.

So the release of FF1-3 pixel remasters had me feeling kinda nostaligic. They're really not for me, but definitely got me thinking back to my time playing the originals. I don't think I quite have the time nor patience to go through those versions again, but it got me thinking... there was an FF1 remake made years ago with rpg maker. Pretty obscure now, but I knew I remembered it actually existing.

Took me a while to track down, but the creator, Max Berger, still has the site up with a download!

Hi! I'm looking for a game called Tranvex: La Odisea de Santulli (spanish version), also called Tranvex: Santulli's Odyssey (english version), made with RPG Maker 2000. Can you help me? Thanks!

I leave some pictures:

A link to the old site (sorry for the really bad english, I was a teenager at the time): https://web.archive.org/web/20030301143030/http://personales.ciudad.com.ar/blazedinc/tranvexingles.htm

I posted this on r/tipofmyjoystick, too, but I figure I may have better luck posting it in a place specifically for helping dig up old RPG Maker titles, which this game definitely at least had the look of, though I can't say with confidence whether it was actually made with any RPG Maker engine. I hope it's alright if I just copy and paste the description here. The game was from sometime in the 2000s, though I can't remember with much more specificity than that.

Genre: Turn-based JRPG

Estimated year of release: I actually don't know if the game got released; I think what I saw was a YouTube preview trailer for a work in progress, but I can say that that was almost certainly from the 2000s.

Graphics/art style: 16-bit pixel art; think SNES, Genesis, GBA, etc. It had a similar sort of look to the sort of rough-ish non-commercial pixel art of the time (2000s). I want to say the proportions were similar to something like Chrono Trigger or the two SNES Mana games, though the art style was noticeably different.

Notable characters: Only one (presumably-)named character I can recall; the central protagonist of the game, or at least the focal character of the trailer who was talked up as such. He had roughly shoulder-length (maybe a little shorter) red or auburn hair in a surprisingly grounded style, and a dusty brown cloak, and was going to be something of an antihero or villain protagonist according to the trailer. He started out very strong, with four-digit HP and dealing four-digit damage. I recall these numbers carrying roughly the same weight they usually do in classic Final Fantasy.

Notable gameplay mechanics: For a certain value of "notable"; I vaguely recall the preview battle showcasing ATB combat akin to Final Fantasies IV through IX, with the same sort of display as IV through VI on account of being 2D, but I'm not positive. In general, it seemed to be largely the same type of JRPG as the first nine or ten Final Fantasy titles, the Dragon Quest series, etc. A "classic third-person turn-based JRPG", I suppose.

Other details: I recall the scenes showcased in the trailer taking place in desert terrain. The main protagonist (described under "Notable Characters") was being pursued by soldiers, I think he had escaped the custody of whatever group the soldiers served? In particular, a scene where he's confronted by soldiers from that faction in a desert canyon and proceeds to wipe the floor with them sticks out in my mind. The locations on display gave me similar vibes to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children's depiction of the wasteland surrounding Midgar/Edge, but I don't actually recall the game being said to take place in Final Fantasy VII's world. I can't say for sure if it did or didn't; I just don't recall anything that would concretely specify one way or the other, though my impression was that the setting was original. Overall, the whole thing was strongly infused with the sort of sense of "cool" you'd expect of a teen- to college-aged fan of Japanese animation and video games in the 2000s, if that makes sense. Text in the footage may not have been in English; if not, I think it would have been in one of the romance languages, but I can't recall with enough clarity to say which one.

Note that I'm recalling this from over a decade ago at this point, so a lot of it is very hazy, almost more concepts and feelings than really concrete recollections. I'm also not actually 100% confident it was a Final Fantasy fan project; it might've just been "inspired by" Final Fantasy instead. I do want to clarify that I know for a fact that it was not...
  • Final Fantasy Endless Nova
  • Either game in the Final Fantasy: Tales of Magic duology
  • Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy
  • Final Fantasy 0 (French fangame that I think only got as far as a trailer) has a similar sort of vibe to it and is from the right general time frame but I don't think that's it.
  • It's definitely not an official, commercial title. This was absolutely an indie endeavor, I'm certain of that much.
  • I was able to get in touch with the person who was making Final Fantasy: Hellbeast Moon and confirm that it's not that, either. They did say that the description I posted here sounds vaguely familiar to them, too, although they don't really remember it... so that at least is a point in favor of it having been a real thing at some point.

It's really bugging me that I can't remember this—heck, I can't even be sure this whole thing isn't some sort of imagined memory or misremembering of a dream or something—and I don't know any keywords that would be helpful, since searching for things like "Final Fantasy fan game villain protagonist" just gets stuff like "Final Fantasy protagonists/villains ranked" articles, lists of newer fangames I'm already aware of and that aren't it, etc. Any help is appreciated!

I know that this post is months old, but I wanted to mention that this really reminds me of an RM2K game called "Power Trip".
Hey everyone, I have so much respect for you all doing so much hard work to try and preserve the great independent efforts of RPG Maker history. There's so much cool stuff, wonderful weirdness and nostalgia to be found looking through these huge archives.

There's a very old game I want to find, and hope someone around might recognize it from description- there was an RPG Maker 2000 game starring the FF6 Chocobo sprite that did not make use of the default battle system, or indeed any battle system at all. It was an open world collectathon where you navigated between a variety of worlds, avoiding moving obstacles that would damage or kill you, to find green crystals that were the equivalent stand-in for Power Stars in Mario 64 which were referred to as "Lucky Chards." Maybe it was a misspelling of "shard" or maybe it was an intentional nod to the vegetables, who knows.

It is not any of the Chocobo Panic titles, which are a maze game series ala Pac-Man.

I had written it off as a "Gamingw.net" game in my mind these past decades, but I can't find so much as a trace of it, so I think it may not be the case, after all.

At the time, I thought it was "not that great" and I was confused as to why someone would make an RPG Maker game without traditional combat or RPG mechanics in general. However, now I find myself really wanting to go back and take another look at it- the concept of trying to get something like a 3D Platformer-styled collectathon vibe in RPG Maker 2000 is very playful and interesting to me.

Anyway, I hope at least someone might remember it. Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who pitches in towards the great preservation efforts. Absolutely floored that Aaron's Revenge is tucked away here. That game's been an inside joke to me for like 15 years now.
I just reviewed my game list and the only other chocobo game I found was Chocobo's Dungeon. That doesn't really match what you described, but I figure I might as well point it out on the small chance it is what you are looking for. As a bonus, it's hosted right here which makes it easy to view.

That's not it, but I gotta say it looks pretty cool! Also, thank you for your time in looking over what you had; I really appreciate it.

I could have sworn this game was available on RMN!
Wow, I never saw that FF1 remake before!

I remember there were at least three others, all ones I remember for RM2K- one that I believe was posted to GamingW and had a CMS for learning spells, another one that used RTP for everything along with the Super Famicom RPG Maker monster sprites in battles, and a -really- old one from like 2000 made by someone who I believe was called "MogTheMoogle" which used RTP for everything. Lich was the Grim Reaper, Alex was the main character, etc. The RTP dark elf guy was Garland.
extremely long time since I browsed the rm2k community, everything seems to be dead links now.
i'm looking for 'Adventures of Mister big T 3 - Sexy mix' but am having extreme difficulty. it is listed in the master list of the guy who hasn't been seen since 2013, if that even helps. I already tried every other option I know of including wayback.

thanks in advance even if you can't post it because reasons. I have 2 and 4 if they are needed, I can probably put them on a mega or something.

im sorry to say that one is actually a link to the 4th game due to a server error. (if 3 is on there its not named bigt3.exe, so it defaults to bigt4.exe, giving you the 4th game, I did this last night)

Argh too bad! Sadly I never heard of this series before, I just have the Dooms games
Edit:.......20 minutes after posting, i cant believe i remembered the name of the author. Gabicho. *facepalm*

This rpgmaker game that I' half remembering has been bugging me for a while. All I remember is that it was an english language game. There is this doll girl who goes to the workshop or something amd talks with her friend(?) Friedrich. She goes through surreal dreamscapes to find out what her deal is. I believe at the end she has the choice to go into a room or not, amd that determines the endings. What stuck with me most was that the art, tiles, and sprites were made for the game. The dreamscapes had all different textures and stuff.

As for the creator, i remembered they were doing some kind of romantic visual novel with a pumpkin girl cleaning up a magical school.

That's all I remember...I wish I could recall the name of the rpg game. :/
I haven't posted here in two years.
1) Is Shattered Samurai 2 still missing? I presume the guy who had it never got back.

2) I'm curious if any games from rpginfinity were ever archived by anyone?
https://web.archive.org/web/20020705172324/http://www.rpginfinity.com/

I'm specifically interested in: Elysian Fields and ill natured 2

I have "iLL naTURED 2 (Locus1979) (RM2K) (2002)" but I don't think I have the first one.
