OLD/LOST RPGMAKER GAMES - SEGNIN'S RARE/OBSCURE RM GAMES REQUEST TOPIC

Before this turns into a running gag: I've finally completed Utopian Chaos, but it wasn't a glorious playthrough. :D Due to a bug that allowed me to access a certain part of the world map early, I accidentally did some sequence breaking, which probably messed up some of the switches. As I tried to solve this problem by using transfer events, more problems occurred. Suddenly, I wasn't able to pass through certain doors in dungeons, so I had to use transfer events, messing up even more of the switches over time. By doing this, I finally locked myself out of the good ending, but hey: Why bother when you can use a transfer event to reach the good ending? This certainly marks my darkest hour as a JRPG player, yet it was an intense, unique experience I wouldn't want to have missed. I'm sure people who played Utopian Chaos in 2002 wholly enjoyed this game (provided they were able to reach the end).

By the way: It's probably a good idea to let anyon175 implement the necessary changes, since my version of Utopian Chaos is likely more bugged than any other now. ;)
Oh geez. Cut me some slack, I was like 11 or 10. I know I'm posting this 3 years too late, but I just have to say this. It's amazing anyone in 2018 would play that campy and certainly cringey little game I made so long ago...

And this thread is just fantastic. I had thought my games lost forever in the great "I should not have put a sweater on my laptop and left it running all night"-fiasco of 2012. I'm hitting the big 3-2 in a few days, so I felt a bit nostalgic, decided to google those old games I made so long ago and... Well, it just feels incredible to be able to see them again, so thanks a million to LordBlueRouge.

Psst, LordBlueRouge-Are you someone I used to know back in the olden days? Back when I went by Flash, and then Doctor? I've just read your previous post. Hope things will get better soon. Again, thanks so much for this thread.

Yeah, and also your game was played in other countries aswell, well... At least Brazil from where I live that is.

It was sold (not by me, a Brazilian company named Digerati at the time) alongside many RPGMaker games in CDs (yes, they sold your game and many others and never gave you any cent, but they are gone for a long time now so whatever).

Anyways, those CDs had lots of these games, which could have been lost forever but thanks to that and Wayback Machine some of them were saved.

But yeah, its all thanks to Segnin, LordBlueRouge and many others contributing to this thread for so many years. This thread is really amazing, I hope it keeps going and even though I have been away for sometime I hope that eventually I can help maintain this thread in some way too.
Really? Wow, that's so weird... Yikes, I kinda wish I've put more effort into the bug testing then.
Hey all just stumbled on all this and wanted to say its wonderful to see so many games I thought were lost.

I also wanted to ask and hope someone could help me find an old game which I'm pretty sure was for rm2k since it had a front view battle system, I don't think it was 95 but it is possible.

All I remember was it was short and the small world map was split in two, you reached the second half by going through a forest/cave/crypt? and ended up across the river/ocean? I'm not completely sure. I do kind of remember the layout of the map so I drew a picture but it could be wrong and I'm worried I'm mixing up two games.

To add to this this one post from 2017 sounds similar to it but im not sure if its the same game
Edit, I found the mega link of the files, nevermind my original request.

Edit:
also, I found DarkEnergy 1 and 2 here

I was wondering if anyone had copies of Overkill's old games since all of his download links lead back to his website (https://www.bananattack.com/), but the only parts of that site still standing are a few articles he wrote about his games and an about page as far as I can tell.

I don't know if they're the latest versions but the 2014 versions can still be accessed through webarchive:
http://web.archive.org/web/20161221101745/http://www.bananattack.com/blog/games/

I haven't had a chance to sitdown check through all of them but from a quick download Heart, wingblaster and wuv seem to still be accessible. Let us know if this helped thesacredlobo.
It did. Thankfully some of the other projects he was involved with were put up by others so you can still download stuff like "Lexico" without having to jump through hoops to get it.

Though "Snowball" is pretty annoying for a game with only two levels since the second level requires you to use snowballs to make certain jumps. And your ability to control the balls is rather limited and some of them need to be made large enough to pass through one narrow section but get trapped in another.

Though, I'll admit I'm particularly interested in "Heart" or "Wing Blaster" since one is a demo and the other was part of a one hour contest. So I'm guessing it would be pretty bad. And it doesn't have some sort of crazy awesome premise like "WWF vs WWF" has to make up for it.

Though it did take me a few tries to download Molasses Meow since the download link leads to another page that holds the actual download and sometimes the webpage returns an error instead of allowing the download to go through.

Side Note: I do have a few games you can't find on this site anymore, but most of those boil down to RedWall10 games. So unless your looking for NightMare School or some of the many Outcasts games I really can't add too much to this archive.

Hello,

I've:
Quondam Warriors
Maia 2k3 (probably on this page's first post, since those are long time looked out games).
Desperation of A New Era Part 3 (managed to download the temporar link given last year by benos)

Boutalles and Forlorn Manor can be found on Wayback Machine : https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/22883/?post=926477#post926477.
You can find OFF on the french website Oniromancie.

A Lost Dreamer has been taken away by the dev and won't be put back. Some people still have the french version, but I don't think it's going to be shared. The only version you can find from this game is on the 2014 version of Alex d'Or, a french competition. It's very different from the later version though.

I reviewed Boutalles last year, I forgot to write that you can still get it from Itch.io from the dev's site, so no need of using Waybackmachine: https://latenightstudio.itch.io/boutalles

Forlorn Manor is instead still available here on https://rpgmaker.pl/

Now I'm trying to remember what version of A Man Called Dungeon I played for Secret Santa 2018. Probably 1.01?
Wow, it's really recent! You can also find Cast Asite on the itchio profile, and other missing games. Thanks Addict!

Yeah, actually I reached out to them via e-mail, and they told me they would add them, I just haven't downloaded them yet, I will take them off as I download them.

Thanks for all the links so far.

I will grab these, and I will take whatever you have!! I have a "lost list" of well over 500 games missing, that list grows the more I look around for missing games.

I have about 3000 games organized (pending duplicates) and a lot more to sift through, I will take whatever I can get my hands on!

I contacted the dev for a lost dreamer too, and he said he doesn't have it anymore. I would love to find a copy if all possible, it looks really pretty.

Thanks!
Ok.

Here are the two that are probably just lost (Maia2k3 can really be found easily I guess):
- Quondam Warriors: https://www.grosfichiers.com/6EpKWfMBjt5
- Desperation of A New Era Part 3: https://www.grosfichiers.com/g3qNvcDULyP

Hi folks, I would like to make a request here if anyone still hold this files in their personal archive and feel to share as they are all old VX games I can't retrieve a way to download anymore (I used to retrieve them by accessing their old mediafire link but as many got taken down by the host site and I had lost the data I'm pretty sure they must be considered lost at this point)

"Third Realm" by Ihsorak https://rpgmaker.net/games/3458/ [the original download link was taken down from mediafire, the game page still exist)
"Relic" by Twidge http://rpgmaker.net/games/3264/

The last game I don't remember the name (seems here on rm the page was deleted altogether) but I remember clearly the story was post-apocalyptic environment with the main character be a kid with curly blond hair and the secondary character a chimney cleaner look a like boy who had the habit to spray a can of orange paint in his mouth. I hope someone else will remember of what I'm talking about.

I think I know exactly what game you're looking for!! I couldn't find the game page for it (I remember finding it on gamejolt years ago but it seems to be gone now) but it's called Blue Marble and there's still a let's play of it!

Edit: Here's a link to the deleted gamepage, you could try and see if it's on wayback machine? https://rpgmaker.net/games/5235/

Both of his games were hosted on RPGMaker.net, but are now removed and there is no way to get them. I reached out to him to see if I could get a copy of his games.
THAT is exactly it! =) "Blue Marble" You got a Good memory mate thanks you so much for find the video and the old game link Frogge ;) (I was totally lost on where to look for it because I too casually found it one day on RM games list years ago) at least now I'm sure, I didn't dream about it X) I hope the creator will answer krum110487 (thanks for trying to reach to him), it would be a shame to see it lost as I remember it was a good game (mostly for the story, even if a little depressing)

Edit: So as suggested I tryed to recover the file with wayback machine (even found the old 4shared link for the game so my hopes were high) but unfortunately seems it was taken down altogether could get only the full cover picture for the game (is so strange see the old media links to the game page is still on for the RM site, in a way the game is completely gone but the folders are still there)
