MAFIA: IS THIS WEREWOLF? [MAFIA]

Muffle, you did well on the flavor. I still don't understand the visitation messages me and aneko got. Vengeful traitor was unncessary I think, because in exchange for being able to kill every other night, you also got 2 nightkills. Overall the game was decent except for that small complaint.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

@Psy, The game was very nearly won for town. If aneko had been in time, not only would Cave have been lynched, it would have been extremely obvious I was his partner.

I took a gamble not bussing him at the end there, but I figured this had a higher chance of success than me trying to convince you tomorrow to vote Gourd.

@demon, Cave rolecopped Aneko N1. That was her visitation message.

I hypnotized you N1. That gave you a random message that just so happened to be a visitation message.

My power very nearly screwed it all up at the end. I shouldn't have used it at all.
Cave investigated aneko giving the visitation message.
Jero sent demonlord a message using his hypnotist role.

Also, what do you mean 2 NK? The first day no gunners could shoot, and if aneko shot wrong the first time she died before the next night happened.

What town didn't seem to realize at the end there is that ToS vigilantes commit suicide the night after killing a townie. So I knew that nolynching would have Aneko kill herself, leaving us at 2v2 and victory.
I thought both wolves could attack at night unless I'm mistaken, but having never played ToS I don't fully understand all the roles either.
Roles were heavily based on Town of Salem. The only ones not based on it was JJJ7's traitor role and I changed escort name was changed to roleblocker because I preferred it being called roleblocker lmao.

Cave figured out the roles were from ToS long before Psy did, giving us some easy fakeclaims. It was unfortunate that he got counterclaimed, but it worked out in the end.
No, only one could attack. Hence why roleblocking a wolf wouldn't prevent a nightkill. In werewolf games each werewolf attacking is probably possible and common, but since this wasn't a game of like 20 players I didn't want to overpower that.

Also, each gunner had limited bullets. Aneko had 3 bullets and JJJ7 which I forgot to mention to him had three, but could only use two because he needed a bullet for his true role power: killing someone upon being lynched. He also could not use this power if he was killed at night.
I think this wasn't really winnable for me because I didn't have pre-knowledge of ToS, and both cave/jeroen were using that knowledge to their advantage. I don't think cave would have guessed veteran role existed otherwise, and you used that one role claim that nobody had any reason to disbelieve. I should have considered the timing on your claim because late claimers have no chance of getting counter claimed.

I assumed Aneko would've /told/ us about this if it was the case. Although yes, it definitely negated any planning I did during the day.

And Muffle, you mean the traitor could actually shoot people if they had lived to N2? What was his win condition?

Oh man, Cave was so obvious after my flip. I wondered why was Jero trying to avoid scumreading him. Now, I know.
I couldn't fully go against Cave on d2, it would get me lynched. So I hoped that one of us gets killed at night.
GG, wolves.

Thanks for hosting the game and putting time and effort in flavour, Muffle!

Guys... I have a confession... I accidentally killed Cap I thought he was mafia and I was a Vigilante... I'm so sorry... you can lynch me if you want... either way im gonna die... I killed one of our own... I'm sorry for lying and saying I was a witness...

(I know it seems kind of RP like I just didn't know how else to word it)

She did say it, actually.

If Gourd had ever had a chance to contact me, I was ready.

Investigated Aneko. I believe her.
Jeroen or Psy scum. Leaning Jeroen.
Are you blind? JJJ was indie.
My last pick is Cave.
Well...that was a major oversight by us, but aneko wasn't exactly clear on that point about dying. I just assumed she meant she was going to get nightkilled asap now rather than it being a role thing.

Edit: I should have realized jjj was indie by the color, but the thought of scum-aligned indie sounded weird to me and just assumed scum was in grey. I also gave gourd my thoughts during the night phase, and my thoughts drastically changed after the day flips.
JJJ7 didn't really have any true winning conditions. He won if werewolves won. If both werewolves got lynched, he could not continue the game for them though. But he would live if he was one of the surviving towns at the end. So if JJJ7 was left alive and Cave & Jero were lynched, the town would have won despite him being a traitor. He had no say in being able to carry out the actual win besides being supportive in the background.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The vengeful traitor could not kill on full moon nights, nor on night 1.

I also had a kill power that couldn't be used on night 1, so it wasn't that weird. Though I got lynched on day 1, so whatever. Like Aneko's power, mine penalized me heavily if I made a wrong decision.

I'm not a fan of the "if you target the wrong person you die" clauses on powers. Interesting idea, but in practice, people pick the wrong targets like 75% of the time, so it just made me not want to use my power. Aneko's had a one day delay at least.
If JJJ7 shot scum, he would die, but he would obviously penalize the scum's win by a lot. So he had to be super careful if he was even able to shoot at all - which he wasn't.
Cave was so happy that you as a Jailor died since Jailor is a powerful role. You role block whoever you jail, you can choose to execute someone, and you can interrogate and get info from them. Honestly, that was towns first mistake XD Not like they knew but still.

The game was pretty heavily balanced towards town, and I thought we were going to lose for sure when Psy came up with the massclaim plan, but in the end we got lucky because:

1 - Jailor got lynched D1
2 - We figured out the origin of the roles early/
3 - Our traitor took down the doctor with him.
4 - Vigilante shot town
5 - Vigilante showed up 3 minutes late at the final day which was the most stressful moment in any mafia game ever oh my freaking god.

Any of these things not happening would have probably resulted in a town win.
