[RMVX ACE] CAN'T PLAY GAMES AT ALL. DIRECTIONAL CONTROLS BROKEN.

I have been struck by the seemingly common bug that causes all my movement controls to break when I try to play any RPG maker game and only RPG maker games. I've tried seemingly every fix I could find, resetting my pc, deleting drivers, connecting and disconnecting gamepads, using the cherry keyboard reset thing, what have you. But I have been utterly unsuccessful. I have only succeeded in slightly slowing down my movement into the left-facing wall, but still, in every direction on the arrows both button and Numpad all go to the left or up. I seriously don't know what to do. If anyone, anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
