Mystic Messenger...... I expected a goofy game about dating anime boys but now it's really funny and well-written too!?
Lots of people talking about Skyrim Special Edition means that I'm playing Skyrim again. I've never done a Skyrim playthrough where I go through the main questline without letting anything else distract me so I'm doing that. I had a lot of fun doing the same thing in Fallout 4 so it should be good!

Because a lot of the mods that I use aren't available for Skyrim Special Edition, I'm still playing the original version of the game, but that doesn't really matter because Skyrim on PC already looks like Skyrim Special Edition thanks to HD mods. I understand why Skyrim Special Edition makes sense for console players, but on PC it would be a bit of a waste of time. That's probably why it's free on Steam if you already owned Skyrim.

Agreed. It doesn't even run properly on my PC, compared to my original Skyrim modded to hell ;V
I just can't imagine playing without SkyUI. It's a shame that attempts to port that over to Fallout 4 are underwhelming :(

That's a big issue for me too, yeah... SkyUI is so good. Why is Bethesda so afraid of color in its menus!?

mmmm delicious mtx sales (path of exile)
Got 7 Days to Die to co-op with my brother. It's a fun game, we just got through our first 7th night with just one casualty (me. I fell to my death from the roof while shooting zombies that tried to break down our house)

I also got this obscure ps2 j-RPG:

It's a weird game. Would be pretty amazing if it wasn't so linear.
Well, that didn't take long, but it was fucking difficult because I was only level 13 at the end of the game. Thank the gods for Lydia and Atronachs:

Also, drill hair because mods:

I love Okage's soundtrack & the graphics. Not lucky enough to have played it when I had a ps2, however.
@Sated, my Lydia died already :'(
I wanted to check Solstheim out pretty early on, but the main quest on that island starts without a warning, so I struggled through it, but lost Lydia in the process D:
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I got Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The combat is neat, but the story, the game structure, the pacing, the tutorials, the hub world, the overall presentation, the multiplayer, and everything else about it is SO BAD.

this sounds like 100% what you should expect from a dbz game
I've actually gotten pretty absorbed into Elite Dangerous as my "unwind for an hour or two before bed" game.

And just because I'm insane, I've actually just joined a player group (Alliance Office of Statistics) to feel like I'm having more of an impact on the game world, or at least the feeling that I'm helping out the PowerPlay system.

I used to be totally happy with my Cobra, but now, I wanna upgrade to a bigger ship with a better frame shift drive so that a 47 lightyear journey doesn't take me 6 jumps to get there. XD

Other than that, I've been on a Custom Robo binge too. I really wish we had more games in the series over here in North America. ;_;

My big question though: do the enemies in the story still have hyper-armor? That's what ruined the first Xenoverse for me once you got past the first saga or so: you wanted a strong character, you made a Ki-user. Oh you wanted a Melee character? Too bad, get used to getting knocked out of the stratosphere by an enemy who shrugs off your blows.
I am currently playing a whole lot of Shovel Knight for the first time. It truly is a love letter to 8bit gaming. Its a mixture of Super Mario Bros.3,Castlevania,Mega Man, Zelda 2, and several other NES classics. I strongly believe Shovel Knight will help me with certain segments of my game as well. I'm glad I bought the thing XD.

Shovel Knight is in my top 5 favorite games. It's so good.

I'm still playing DOOM, some FFXIV, the new Hearthstone expack, and the new Path of Exile league. I installed Valkyria Chronicles but I'm doing a terrible job of starting it.

I'm nearing the end of Star Ocean: First Departure. Last night I broke the game over my knee and got Orchestra->Alchemy->Philosopher's Stones thing going. I bought two tri-emblems and some santas's shoes just for giggles.

FD is kinda nuts, you have 4 must-have characters and 9 optional ones! While Second Story was more like, this person, or this person - this game is a bit more complicated. choosing a first optional character completely changes the order of other characters you get an when.

This time around, I got Cyuss, Ioshua, Mavelle (who I ditched in the ruins), Phia, and finally Pericci.

I have to say, initial impressions - Pericci is potentially very powerful - as far as I know, she's the only character that can actually stop the enemy moving and hold them there - which is incredibly powerful.

I guess the only criticism I have for the game so far is that you don't really have a way to get around quickly, even in the end game. That, and you feel like you're leaving so much on the table, characterwise, at the end. So many choices, so few party slots.

On the plus side, you can complete the game very quickly if you want. It's like a 15 hour game if you don't dawdle.

I love how well they made First Departure match up with Second Story // Second Evolution. They made it look like they came out at the same time back in the, they did their job so well.
