Sup peeps, I've been trying to identify the battle themes I heard in some of the RPG Maker games I've covered. Unfortunately, not all of the developers are still around to ask about them, so I thought I'd make a post and see if anyone here recognized the songs. Feel free to give these a listen, and if you know where any of them originated from, please let me know! At the very least, you'll get to hear some cool tunes. :p

Titles listed below are not necessarily accurate. It's also possible these weren't originally battle themes.

Heard in Road to Paradise: The Dragon:

Battle
Mini Boss
Lord of the Tower

Heard in The Cerebral Symphony:

Battle Upbeat
Battle Psychotic
Battle Alternative

Heard in Chapelwaite:

Evil Triumphs

Heard in The Lost:

Battle - Under Siege! (???)
Bone Crawlers - Sand and Stone (Sinakhai)
Knowledge - The Final Stand (???)
True Believers - Battle of the Mind (???)
Arena - Filmbeat3 (CinematicDrums?)
Skeletons - Titan (Sinakhai)
Cave Battle - Leviathan (Sinakhai)
Mysterious Building Battle - Armada (Axelay) (ver?)
Hideout Battle - Florana's Battle (Kairi Sawler)
Lone Mountain Battle - Armies Advance (VGM Library Battle Themes)
Mezun Prison Battle - Metalman2 (CinematicDrums?)
Deformed Believers - Metal Bomb (CinematicDrums?)
Sect Leader - Glory Eternal (Darren Curtis)

Bonus Round: Not From an RM Game:

It's Getting Harder
missing_N - Now, Until the Moment You Die (Touhou Reiiden ~ The Highly Responsive to Prayers)
I don't know why I thought I'd ever know any of them

It was worth a shot! This is the kind of thing you either just know or you don't.

I have potential sources I can check for some of these, but I figured I'd reach out first in case anyone's familiar.
I was curious and gave some a listen, but I am batting 0.000 on all of these

I gave all of these a listen and sadly have nothing to give. Mini_Boss_Road_To_Paradise sounds like something Phyrnna would make, but not sure.

EDIT:
I found missing_N_fleeting_feelings

I used this site to do so.

Oh hell yeah, that site might come in handy for future tracks!

I didn’t try any of the other tracks, I just found the site and figured I’d let you know about it instead of doing all the work and keeping my secret xD

Thanks for the site, Ozzy. It is absolutely one of my pet peeves when people use music and only make vague references, if that, of where it comes from, or who made it. There were a few tracks I've come across that have been IDed because of that site/resource, but, a few stragglers still remain.

There are music sources listed in the credits for some of these, but I haven't had the time to dig into them thoroughly. Hopefully this site will save me some trouble! I'll give it a try later today...
Battle Upbeat is driving me insane because I've heard it in multiple rpgmaker games before and I prob downloaded it as a resource somewhere. I get the feeling that it might be a midi track made by someone in the rm community (the chosen instruments seem too deliberate to be a transposed track) and not a commerical snes/ps1 track but I could be wrong.

The dev of Cerebral Symphony said he got some of his music from other RM games and doesn't remember the source(s). Unfortunately he was not willing to help more because I did not give him a high-scoring review.
Man, I thought I might get lucky but all of these may as well be original songs for all I know. Sorry I couldn't help.

I checked all of them and I didn't recognize any of them minus the Touhou one already pointed out. (it was a rock remix of Sepitae for the Dead Princess) I'm pretty sure all the other ones are fully original compositions, but I'll check using that website to make sure.

Edit: So I used the site and all the songs on the list just linked to obscure russian spotify artists. At first I thought it was just a scam to get fake traction on a bunch of russian artists, but then I used a mario song and it got the right one, so apparently it's legit. Seems it only works for "well known songs." I'm 99% sure all of the songs you listed minus the Touhou one were custom songs (not rips) made for either that specific game or some other game. They aren't rips.

Edit 2: So I entered in an obscure Touhou remix by a dojin band and it got that one too. So it can get obscure songs as well, meaning that the songs on this thread are all original with no listings anywhere on the internet. I'll try a fan-made song next. See if that works.

Edit 3: So I used the fanmade song and it just came up with a russian song that sounded vaguely like said track. So it seems only "registered artists" are marked on there no matter how small (the dojin company the remix was from, UNDEAD CORPERATION, IS registered) but if it can't find any it links the closest russian song it could find to promote russian artists that are part of the owner's network. (the site has a russian host)

Nice investigative work! It especially saves me some trouble since I didn't have time to try the site 'cuz I was busy harvesting battle themes from another game I recently played. ^-^;

It's possible some of the tracks are custom work, but it's questionable for each of the games listed. These are only the tracks I couldn't identify, meaning there are some songs from these games where I was able to locate the source. If they can have original music, it begs the question of why they're also using rips, but ehh, we do what we can.

Sooo, I did some poking around in the music folder for The Lost and I recognized a couple of track titles from those I could identify. However, I can't play the songs from there because they're encrypted into the 'RPGMVO' format which is why I had to record them in-game with Audacity to get them.

ANYWAY, if anyone knows how to convert those to a playable format, I might be able to ID those songs by finding their titles in the folder. Any ideas?

Ooh, I've made some progress! I didn't have time to check all the songs from The Lost due to technical difficulties, but I updated the list with my findings. I wasn't able to locate the CinematicDrums album, but based on the file names, I believe that is the source because I also found a credits .txt in the game files that isn't too specific, but lists CinematicDrums under music.

Mysterious Building Battle is definitely the song Cosmos from the game Axelay, but I'm not sure where this version came from. It's too high quality to have been from the SNES. It was named 'Armada' in the game files.

True Believers's title is "Battle of the Mind" but I ran out of time to check it more thoroughly.

I'll do more digging next week to find the file names of the remaining songs from The Lost. In the meantime, if anyone feels like digging on their own, here are the music credits sections of these games:

Road to Paradise:

Cerebral Symphony:

Chapelwaite:

The Lost:
