CloseNope, it's just a dark nighttime screen. During the daytime it's brighter. (Even though it's a spaceship, the lights on the ship are programmed to adjust accordingly, so the crew onboard can regulate their sleeping schedule.)
It's more visible fullscreen and ingame though.

Sort of Graphic Novel x RPG Lite maybe? Just a story essentially, around 30-40 minutes long I'd wager.

I was more thinking a Pink Panther RPG. :D
I won't comment on much because it's very clearly the style you're going for, but I would say try to introduce some height variety in the background buildings there and you ought to be onto a winner there!

Yeah, the background is pretty much temporary till I get around to making it better.
