Finally got around to spriting backgrounds for the third level of Riot Grrrl. I'm trying a new way of working; instead of doing the areas one at a time (background then eventing then battles etc.) I'm going to sprite all the backgrounds first and then do the editor stuff.
Doing everything area by area breaks things up too much and I think it was slowing me down...

what kinda commissions, Nessy?
From animating sprites to drawings to troubleshooting computer problems :[
(Right now I'm working on ATEOTDBS Storyline, since I am struck by my angel addiction syndrome)
I've been awake for a bit now and so made some Quake 3 maps in Halo: Reach. I'm about ready to fall to bed so goodnight day.
post=208109This, but I intend to focus more on one and get help for the other.
Two games at once. Admittedly, a foolish thing to do.
I drop projects a lot... I'm beginning to think that I might need to get a team together just to get something done... sigh...
Currently making it so that players can equip two different weapons in Sore Losers: Riot Grrrl. This might not seem difficult but, because the current system can't really be converted to suit this purpose, I need to start from scratch.
It should add a lot to the game, though. Making sure you cover the bases through your weapon/skill choices is going to make battles a lot easier as the game progresses because enemy weaknesses/resistances are really important! In fact, that they are so important that it renders the one-weapon system Riot Grrrl has right now kinda useless...

If I had to use 2k3, what I'd do is have Cheska(?) start off with a Rank I version of each weapon type, and you can switch them mid-battle, but at certain points you can only upgrade one. So, you find/earn "new" weapons in the form of upgrade kits, but you have to choose what elements/etc. Cheska is best at.
Working on some facesets.
A dog, a baby, a tophat with a monocle, a stylized eye socket, a hotdog with mustard, a broom, an eyeball, a stunning disguise and a suitcase.

Lol, I like the one besides the eye (looks like a big nose). Mcdonalds would love to have these as new mascots. :D
Still working on the blasted CPU. It's done, but it's just still have problems -- and I want it to be perfect, damn it!!! So, that's what I'm doing tonight. Once that is done, I can go do something else.

Lucidity script. Nessiah showed me Marian's and I got inspired to write :D
Bugs, bugs, and more bugs.
Also lots of spriting. One of my characters already has 4 character sheets full of poses.

Being able to switch weapons mid-battle is a good idea, but that would lead to the player having access to all three (main) weapon types at once and I don't really want that. Also, since weapons are fairly diverse when it comes to their skill-sets (there are no "normal" attacks) a generic Rank 1/2/3/4 system probably wouldn't work too well. Whatever two weapons you have equipped, you will have all their skills available to you at all times.
How it is supposed to work is this: Basically, Cheska will have a skill-tree that the player chooses to develop as they wish. Filling the skill-tree will be impossible so you have to choose a route to take (or make a Jack-of-all-trades kind of character). Filling in the holes in Cheska's skill-tree (dependent on how you develop her) is what the weapons are for so their skill-diversity, and not their power, is the important thing.
Besides, I want to focus as little on classic "level-based" character development as possible. Mostly because I'm no good at making that type of game (cf. Headfirst For Halos. It was terrible in the form I uploaded it).
Scripts for a yet-to-be-named project that I will be posting soon.
Anybody know a place to get some good WindowSkins? I can't seem to find any I like
