MUSIC - FOUND AN OLD SONG I MADE

Found a song I thought I'd lost! I made it several years ago (2001, maybe 02). Never had a project to attach it to, just a fit of inspiration. I actually like it more than I thought I would, this many years later. But I invite ya'll to let me know what you think =)

Has a very nice feeling too it, reminds me of something FFTish and thats a good thing. (atleast for me) :V

You got more stuff to showcase?

Considering this is something from 2001 I'm curious to hear how your current work sounds.
Unfortunately not, Despite. I have a feeling I would have been able to improve much more by constantly writing stuff whether I like it or not, but I never did end up liking most of what I came up with, and lost motivation, etc.

However! I am challenging myself to write the entire soundtrack for Arian Wild, the new Craze/Karsuman game. I've written the normal battle theme so far, and started on a couple of others. I'll probably wait until around when the game is released to distribute everything.

You're one to talk.

Any reason WHY it's horrible?
I suspect ThePrivateLifeOfMe is a troll, you heard it here first.
I am not a "troll" or goblin of a sort. If would enjoy me putting more of a description into my critique, then I will gladly do so. The song was entirely too random and all over the place. There was a lot of dissonance at points, and it never went anywhere. Especially when I compare it to my own music.
Time to practice what I preach I guess =)

Thanks for the comments, Plom (mind if I call you Plom? Thanks). You're right about it being random, perhaps. I haven't studied music, let alone structure and progression, so my style lends itself to pretty much following whatever keys I hit on the keyboard. There's also dissonance, like you say, but it's intentional, and quite normal in a lot of music.

Appreciate your opinion!

Uh, no, you heard that from me over IRC bub.
This thread would have been better if ThePrivateLifeOfMe had a Kanye West avatar.

You're welcome! Here, listen to the structure and melodies of my songs to get ideas of how to make music. I consider them, well, amazinglythebest, you could say.

It's totally not ironic that you say S.F's song is random, when, no offense, yours is no different, if not worse.
Personally I thought S.F's song was pretty cool. I like how you soloed a few different parts at the right time. It's usually a tricky technique, but you did it pretty well. Nice.
