All Water/Ices are slow, bulky tanks with a wide array of weaknesses. Hence the need for a fast Water/Ice (since Water and Ice are an excellent attacking pair).

Many children in chains have probably, yes.

I remember when they couldn't even come up with overworld graphics for all 150 pokemon.

I always choose the water starter in PKMN games, but I may just make an exception because of how cool the Grass starter looks.
