LOOKING FOR GAMES TO REVIEW

I really feel like writing some reviews here, but I'm not entirely sure where to start. There's quite a few untouched games around here.

So, I'm pushing the responsibility onto you, my dear forum members, as I sit back and let you do the dirty work for me.

More specifically, I'm just looking for suggestions for games to play, and hopefully review. If any of you have a game you want feedback for, or know of one around here that you feel could use one, for better or worse, then please post it here.

Here are my only requirements:

1. Must have less than two reviews already. I'll probably take on games with no reviews first, just because they're more in need of them. This rule can be waived if the game has recently had a new release or update posted that none of the other reviews cover.

2. Must be owned by a currently active member. I don't want to write reviews that won't come to use.

3. If your game is a fan game, I'll only be able to review it if I've played the game it's based on. I may be able to look past this if the game is only loosely based on the original's setting, however.

Aside from those things, I'm really not picky. Feel free to even lead me to games that you think are awful. I kind of enjoy putting myself through stuff like that, and those are the ones that really need to be critiqued.

Current Review Queue:

1. A Nightmare in Sunnydale (Currently playing.)
2. Devil Star (Not yet played. Priority for lack of reviews.)
3. MGS: Lunacy of Legion (Not yet played. May not be reviewed.)
4. Air RPG (Not yet played)
5. Infection (Not yet played)
6. Dream Odyssey (Not yet played)

Completed Reviews:

1. Final Tear 3: http://rpgmaker.net/games/2132/reviews/1262/
2. Castle Chase http://rpgmaker.net/games/2106/reviews/1275/
I've got 2 reviews on my MGS game, but they are quite outdated since I've updated the game.
I'm not sure if they'll update the reviews since I get the feeling the reviews are dragging the game down although I've improved several features.
Feel free to test and decide. It would be really appreciated however.

I would normally be entirely up for this, but I, unfortunately, suffer from not having played a MGS game yet. I know it's a crime, but it happens to be true. I fully intend to do so, I just haven't gotten around to it.

So if this game requires knowledge of more than just the basic setting and gameplay to be understood, I might not be the right person to review this. If it has spoilers for the other games, as well, it would also prove to be a problem, since I mean to play the official games at one point.

I'm really sorry. I guess I should add that little detail to the rules. It's my fault for not bringing up fan games.
The MGS game is fairly independent. It goes its own mission that is based on basic understanding of MGS-story.
Only about 2-3 of the original cast are present.
However, I've got MGS/Zelda-references packed inside. Still your call.
Are you looking for full games or demos? If it doesn't really matter, I wouldn't mind some feedback on 'A Nightmare in Sunnydale, CA". I know, "OMG FAN GAME!" but you don't need to know a thing about the source material(s) to play it. In fact, the game assumes you know nothing about any of the people involved (and I didn't go too in-depth about what they did in their original stuff -- I only included what was relevant).

It's about 3-5 hours long.

It's not mine, but I wish you would review this:

If you'd like to review my project, that'd be great :D I'm thinking of overhauling it since it's rather old now and I have some fresh ideas for it, but I'd like some feedback on it currently; see if it's worthwhile or if I should just start anew. There are some inconsistencies in the UI since it's a beta demo but its a few hours long and it's fully playable. Should take about 2-4 hours to get through.

Also, I'm not very good at writing dialog and it shows, so really I'm just trying to judge how fun the combat and the gameplay is in general, and hopefully the story and characters are good enough to at least keep someone's attention. But, if not, that's what a review is for.

There's no in-game tutorial for the combat, so you can read the blog post I made or ask me if you get confused.

This game of mine has not received any reviews on this site for the latest release, just one for the inferior contest release. I understand it's not a game for everyone, but if it interests you, I would appreciate the review.

My game is not ready yet, but when it is I will notify you. It is a fan game, but I think everyone has played Pac-Man.

Both full games and demos are fine. I should add that to the main stuff.

Anyways, I know the basics of Buffy (It's yet another thing I full intend to watch, but just haven't gotten around to yet.) and if it doesn't require much past knowledge, it should be fine.

Added it.

This game desperately needs a review!

Alright, so I should make three alternate accounts and write four star reviews with all of them, correct? That should solve the problem.

Added. Though, since you mean to overhaul this soon, should I just post a review in this topic, instead of on the game? Normally I wouldn't be willing to do that, but this sounds like a pretty acceptable reason for it. I don't want to further nail down a potentially low score for a game that might be entirely different in a month.

Actually, funny thing: I already played this. I was lead to it by the fact that Tarranon did your score, and played it when I saw it had production values. I found it to be really cute. I'm entirely willing to write a review for it. In fact, I'll put this at the top of the list, since it's already been played through.

I think "If you like zombies..." is a completely unnecessary statement. Everyone likes zombies. Added.

Alright. Though, I'll still have to be taking reviews when it's done.

Also, I'm adding my Final Tear 3 review to completed reviews, because why the hell not.
My on Hiatus project, Dream Odyssey needs an in depth review on the demo before I can really make the larger effort to complete the massive project. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Be warned though, even for a demo, it's at least 5-10 hours long. Not including the little extra area I tossed in, or any other things I left hanging around that could lead you to a possible future area. Regardless, I would appreciate the input massively.
Good to see someone doing this again. I took a break from anything site productive for about a month but I'm back to writing a couple reviews atm (including one HUGE one for our MISAO winner).

Anyways, this is not a request for one of my games, but I think this one looks interesting:

Not sure if the installer ever got working, but there are over 300 downloads, so here's hoping.
Alright, since I have quite a bit of a list right now, I'll add those two when I free up the space. I'll probably still get to them at some point, though.

Oh man, I really hope you got Act I+ for that review. The current one is a steaming pile of crap, and the new version is complete enough to be played now. Did you ask Sailerius about it? I guess it might be too late if you already started, but hey. XD I figured I'd ask.
Yeah I didn't see his message about Act 1+ until I was halfway through the second Act, unfortunately. I did mention it at the beginning of my review though, and so people can take that portion of it with a grain of salt. I split it up by each act individually anyway (but will submit it as one whole review), so Sai can easily find his way to the feedback points that he can use. It's become quite apparent that once the complete Volume one is complete and all the Act III features have been applied throughout, it'll be a much stronger game.

Yeah that would be fine, and I appreciate it! Any sort of feedback will let me know what the strengths of the game were, the weaknesses, and what you'd (or a potential player) would like to see.

Alright. That sounds fine, then. It's nice to see you putting in so much effort there. Thank you. Both for this and for the compliment, earlier.

Can do.

I've just submitted my review for Castle Chase, so expect to see it up in the next couple of days. Next up is Nightmare in Sunnydale, and Dream Odyssey has been added to the queue.
Thanks for the prompt review. I look forward to reading it once it's accepted :)
