I don't watch a lot of anime and generally I find the music in it annoying, but here are some that entertain me:

Claymore (cool animation, cool show, but a weak finale)

Berserk (really big swords are pretty cool)

Cowboy Bebop (maybe the best Japanese cartoon series, except Robotech)

This opening is my favourite because it had me thinking Kenshin was a girl until the episode actually started. Although I'm pretty sure I heard he was voiced by a girl in the original japanese version.

OH SO THAT'S where that Phylomortis 2 battle theme comes from, right. It's always so weird discovering the sources of midis from old RMgames years down the line...

+ 1 for Bebop, Higashi no Eden, Last Exile (fantastic soundtrack all-round), Zetsubou Sensei and I still kinda like the Outlaw Star one but my housemate sings it loudly/out-of-tune too many times a day so we'll see how long this lasts!

(also endings 2 and 4 are as good and 3's no slouch but I won't clog the topic (also spoilers))

Still not 100% whether I like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpqwY7tsZS4 or not but regardless, every anime opening needs a cockney geezer saying the title in the first 10 seconds. And I can't find the Rose of Versailles OP on youtube after fifteen whole seconds of searching and also someone used a variation to start a topic the other day/week/month so... eh. Also good, though.

Samurai X! Its never got better than that...IMO

I never knew this but he's still too cool, If it wasn't for Samurai X I'd never have really gotten into anime.
Just watching this made my entire body melt with nostalgia ( ã¨ã¦ã‚‚æ‡ã‹ã—ã„ ) . For me this is better than bleach and Naruto combined..
