WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TRANSPORTATION IN AN RPG?

Everyone is familiar with the concept of a vehicle that gets you around faster than walking in an RPG. It's a staple of a genre that you upgrade from foot travel to something more pimp, whether it be a land based vehicle, an animal (a giant yellow bird comes to mind), a ship, or most iconic, an airship, or sometimes it's a combination of one or more of these in the same entity. So what's your favorite ship, boat, bird, or flying thing in an RPG?

For me it's gotta be the Yggdrasil from Xenogears.

This ship has always been dear to me; unique in the fact that its introduced early in the game, and basically, stays with you in the game as a literal moving fortress headquarters for your entire gradually growing party and their operations. It moves across the sand at first, and then its oceangoing, and later in the game it eventually can fly. It enjoys a lot of plot relevance and it plays a major role in a LOT of the games events, from beginning to end. The player always feels very comfortable in retreating to its insides mid flight and walking around in its hallways, giant gear hangar to upgrade, cool looking bridge, and inviting looking massive meeting room.

It's just a mad pimp ass ship in general, proving to be reliable and capable throughout the whole adventure (except when it tried to jump in the air and crush one of the antagonists and that didn't end well), and then I joined the Navy and now I work on an aircraft carrier and the concept of a entirely self sufficient city floating on the sea fucking shit up just got a whole lot more badass and relevant.

What's YOUR favorite A to B-er in an RPG?
I actually had to think a bit about this because first I thought "vehicles why of course!" but then I realized that the method of transportation I basically like the most really are those two feet.

But there's a couple I suppose almost slightly a bit.

The Mass Effect Normandy:

The Fallout Tactics Hummer:

And then there's the Arcanum train.

Though none of them stand out especially much to me. Maybe if I think about it something'll come to me.
The airships in FF6 gave me a boner, until one day somebody pointed out the static horizon which I can't stop staring at anymore.

I like the Highwind from FF7, mainly because it reminds me of when I'd go over to my friend's house and they'd be playing it. I distinctly remember both that large land worm in the swamps and the frozen section of the world map with violently cracked landmasses.

Then again, the Hilde Garde III from FF9, with its theme played as you flew through clear skies before everything went to hell in the fourth disk, still holds a special place in my heart.

Finally, the dragon in FF5 was pretty cool, even though navigating the world map was a pain in the ass as you couldn't fly over mountains.

"That was pretty interesting. But dropping a warship on me is cheating... Take it back!"

God, that was a pretty crazy sequence!

Er... no, I can't top Yggdrasil. It's an armored city in the sky with enough firepower to take down the Goliath. How can one top that?
The lunar whale from ff4 and the red wing with the drill mainly because it had a giant fucking drill.

This, because who doesn't want to ride in the shell of a giant bug? ;D

And the Blackjack from FFVI, 'cause it has a casino. Gambling in the skies is coo'.

The only valid answer.

Falcon + Searching for Friends = C-C-C-COMBO!

That said, Blackjack is still better, Falcon just has a better song, and a cooler GET.

EDIT: Blastoise y Pidgeotto! Best transportationz evar.
Well, my favorite 'airship' of all time has to be the Balamb Garden from FF8. It's a shame it wasn't the main way of transportation in that game. Following in second place would be the Farenheit from FF10 which looks like a happy medium between the Balamb Garden and a more regular airship. And in the third place would be the good ol' Epoch from Chrono Trigger jut for how awesome it is despite its size.

Honorific mention goes to all the Trains from FF8. Those sexy beasts~ (The Ragnarok stinks, btw. =P)
Flammie rocked my world!
