"As much as I try, my life keeps getting worse.
I've been cursed with nightmarish visions that I can't even prevent."

Between February, and September of 2017, Jennifer Conner has suffered incessant premonitions. On top of that, her dreams about future events always come to pass in one way or another. Her latest dream is about the kidnapping of a little girl in her hometown, Whitefields. Worried, Jennifer decides to investigate the matter herself, fearing that something terrible might happen to the girl.
However, merely having the ability to see the future, having knowledge of what is about to happen, may not prevent the future from occurring. Choices have to be made. Will they be the right ones?

"Precognition" is a horror and suspense game that focuses on the player's choices. You must help Jennifer in her mission of helping the little girl from her dreams, before it's too late. Depending on the decisions you make, characters will react in different ways, scenes will change, and the story will end in different ways. These choices are unavoidable and irreversible in most cases. Some of the features you'll find in the game are:

  • Multiple endings. The current version (demo) features three different endings. That number will increase considerably in the final version.

  • An autosave system. For now, the game only allows you to have three save files, and includes an autosave system which saves your progress after every important choice, making them irreversible. For the final version I'll improve this system, so the player can return to certain points in the story, and in order to make multiple playthroughs less tedious.

  • Exploring the town of Whitefields. Whenever you want, you can freely explore the town. You can find interesting things, hints and information according to the phase of the day. NPCs have their own routines, and they're present only at certain times.

If you want to read about the characters, or about the features that I expect to add to the final version of this game, you can check the following pages.

I enjoyed the demo quite a bit and look forward to seeing where this game goes. I also subscribed so I get your updates :-)

THE GOOD:
  • Love the icons that pop up when you're near an object you can interact with.

  • Really like the interface for when you have to make a choice. The animation is nice.

  • Your cut scenes are VERY well done and thought out.

  • The music is great and fitting. Really sets the tone of each scene.

THE NOT SO GOOD:
  • Some of the objects that are BELOW character look a bit... odd when you walk over them. Like the couches and beds. Feel these would be better if they weren't passable at all.

  • I did get a bit lost looking for the cemetery. I eventually found it, but the hint just said, "Go to the cemetery" and I was like... oh no... where's the cemetery LOL I think I just missed the dialogue telling me where it was.

  • I see you have the option for English and Spanish. I played in English and some of the dialogue was a bit off. I plan on playing again-would you like me to private message you any grammatical mistakes I find? I found a few, but I'd be more than happy to help with that. If you like.

However; those are just opinions and preferences. Either way... more pros than cons. I really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for your subscription! Hopefully I'll be showing more content in a few weeks, since I'm trying to redo the game to fix a lot of stuff and improve some of the graphics. I'll add the bed/couch thing you mentioned in my to-do list, too.

I know it may be confusing to find certain locations in the town, so the full game will have a minimap included, maybe a fast-travel function to improve the players experience.

This demo was released some time ago and back then I didn't do a proper grammar revision for the english version, so yeah, a considerable part of the translation lacks quality. I'd really appreciate if you notified me about those grammatical errors by private message!

Hello! Yeah, you see, my plan back in 2017 was to finish this game in a few months. Things became a bit rough and I stopped developing the game for almost a year. Then, I distracted myself with another project ("Around Me") , so that's why this game has been in development for an absurd amount of time, haha.
I already answered your comment on the download page regarding the status of the game. Don't worry! My top priority is to complete it ^^.
About the endings, yes, there will be a varied amount of endings, from good to bad. Thanks for your support and I hope you enjoy the game.
amazing !! I could see this going huge if done right. And the demo seemed pretty good. I've read some of the future development about the game and I love it. It would be great to have info. from sidequests and skip scenes. When is the full game supposed to be available to download?

Thanks!
Sidequests are still a concept I'm trying to develop correctly. Right now, they would give tips, collectibles, some extra scenes or info. about the town and its history. Since NPCs are pretty dynamic, they will be available only at certain points in the game.

The "Skip Scene" function will be a button that only appears if the current scene was already seen. For scenes with choices, it will fast-forward up until the point where you have to choose something. It will also take in count if the scene has different variations/versions, to avoid skipping unseen content.

Best case scenario, the full game will be available in early 2021 ^^.
Are you working on this project yet? I really want to see it completed! Also, I hope you can remember me ;w;

Sorry for the late answer!
This year has been pretty chaotic and I haven't been able to do much progress. There's no need to worry though, this game IS going to be finished, it'll just take a while.

Hopefully I'll be showing more stuff this or next month.
Thanks for the support, Mandred! of course i remember you~
