A Fun Depiction of Game development

I played this game a few months back and I have to say it was quite the fun experience. Sim type games are rare in RPG Maker so I jumped at this game when I saw. (Sim games are one of my favorite types of games, although I don't play a lot of them.)

The game does a good job establishing that the main character as this ambitious yet arrogant game developer, someone who hasn't finished a game yet. He is the essences of how we all start as a game developer who is just starting out. We want to make this grandiose game similar to the games we played. As the game goes on I like how he slower evolves into someone who isn't as ambitious, but loves to make games.

A bit of criticism towards the game is that you could have visited over two maps throughout the whole game. Maybe, you could have spread out some functions into other rooms in the house. Since, this still shows he is a homebody yet you could add a little visual variety to the experience. The sprites didn't seem to resemble the character portraits that the mother and the main character's friend. Maybe, you could use the sprite as a base for the character's design so they look more alike or vice versa. The music was serviceable; it wasn't too groundbreaking. However, the music was played at the times to emphasize the mood of the scene or what activity you are doing.

Overall, this was a good game that was a fun adventure into game development. Using in-direct character development was clever on your part. This project is just a little rough around the edges, but with a little more polish I think you could make this into a great game.
