Sacred Reviews: Brutal - The Halloween Challenges

Introduction

"Brutal - The Halloween Challenges" is a brutally difficult take on "Super Monkey Ball" with a Halloween theme. So if you ever wanted to play as the misguided son of Pumpkinhead or the negligent daughter of death. You now have your chance. Though, I wouldn't advise playing this game for long periods of time. After all, it can be really difficult on your eyes in certain levels.

Story

As I already mentioned, you can either play as the misguided and misbegotten son of the legendary Pumpkinhead or you play as Scynthia, the daughter of the Grim Reaper. Though, I do have to wonder why Scynthia doesn't kill everything that comes into contact with her. After all, she is the daughter of the grim reaper. A being whose touch is said to kill a person instantly. Though, I suppose it'd take the challenge away if she could simply walk through enemies like Mario after he collected a star power up.

As for why everyone's running around like a lunatic. Well, it's time to party in the underworld. After all, Halloween only comes once a year for those that were kicked out of Halloween Town by Jack Skellington.

Gameplay

As you can imagine you have rather simple goal in this game. All you need to do is make your way to the purple flag without ever being touched. A task that quickly goes from mind numbingly easy as seen in the gif above to painfully difficult in the gif depicted below this section.

Graphics & Sound

While, "Brutal - The Halloween Challenges" might be rather short. It also includes a notable number of custom assets. These range from custom background tracks to custom art pieces. As such, the game definitely has a unique look and feel. Heck, it even includes voice acting at the start of your run in order to add to how much the game feels like "Super Monkey Ball".

Conclusion

"Brutal - The Halloween Challenges" is a game that really feels like it's trying to capture the look and feel of another game, but it does it well enough that I figure it might be interesting to the right kind of gamer. After all, I'm not very good at games like "Super Monkey Ball". So, I really can't get that much enjoyment out of a game like this.

Simple and humble review for an average game I made in a few days, thanks man, I really appreciate it :)
Your welcome. Though, it is kind of sad how little attention a game needs to get now a days to be considered buzzing.
