In the future, mankind lives on Arks in the sky ever since the planet surface was rendered nearly uninhabitable. The cause: an outbreak of alien creatures from deep inside the core of the planet.

A recent alien attack has left one Ark destroyed and you, along with other citizens of your home, Ark 3, are tasked with caring for survivors of this attack. One includes a little girl found stranded on the earth's surface...

Unveil the story surrounding the planet, humanity, and your new companion as you play through the game. What will become of mankind in the span of 10 years? What of your adopted daughter? Will she find happiness in such a dire future?

Ciel Fledge is a raising simulation game where the objective is to raise your adopted daughter over a span of 10 years. She will be under your care and guidance until she is a legal adult. How you decide to raise her is up to you. Every decision matters.

This demo is a small taste of the Ciel Fledge universe. In this demo, you can/will:
  • Guide and Raise Ciel's stats based on different Activities and Jobs

  • Manage CIel's diet and schedule her activities for the week!

  • Choose different clothing styles/garments for Ciel to wear!

  • Progress the story and enhance your relationship with Ciel through animated and dynamic cutscene

  • Engage in real-time battles using a puzzle system!

[Devlog] The Limit the Sky Allows

Heya, wltr3565 here. The game’s progress right now is pretty close to the game’s conclusion. If things go well, the game will be clearable by December. By that point, the game will only require several tweaks and balance adjustments until the game can be considered gold. For now, let’s have this devlog explain the current state of the game.

The Dilemma of Simplification
Firstly, as the game’s programmer I wish we never have to reduce the game’s skill ceiling. It must be admitted that the streamlining we have done to the game reduces your options to push the game’s boundaries. The game is designed from the very start for each Day to be detailed. The 5+2 recipe is already good too. In the long run being fixed with 4+3 (or 2+5, 6+1, etc) recipe will feel suffocating. Your daughter’s Max Stamina can increase, after all. She will be able to handle things better as time goes on.



Although in the end, maybe this is a necessary sacrifice. Inputting 7 unique decisions in a row instead of 4 might be too intimidating. It reduces the number of button presses up to 3 presses to complete 1 Schedule as well. Still, I’m concerned about this. I hope you guys can give us feedback if this simplification is worth it or not. For this game, the sky is the one that decides the allowed limit. Either way, it’s our job to make your decision-making in the game as comfortable and meaningful as possible.

Also, the game’s long playtime estimation is because of the slow max animation speed of the Week Progress. No simplification can drastically reduce the game’s actual speed. We still need to test this by playing through this game. We’re targeting to have the game clearable under 5 – 6 hours with full-speed skips from start to finish. That means the game have to be able to make 1 Week to be over within 37 seconds. I do believe the game can do better than that. We will adjust the game’s speed further when the team is done clearing the game multiple times.

By the way, regarding the Grid and List mode of the Schedule interface, we’re still figuring out how can you guys choose between the two. We will tell you guys when it got properly implemented. One of the reasons why the game’s Schedule interface got a facelift is to make the process more comfortable, especially when you’re using a touch screen.

Ciel’s Hidden Power…?
The thing that doesn’t get simplified? The Battles. It has returned to its original form. Your daughter deserves to have her capabilities to be tested to her limits on various situations, after all.



The Technique Slots returned to become 3 again. You can put in any kind of Techniques as you wish too. No restrictions because of differing types! Put any of them as you wish and experiment with them to your heart’s contents! Social norms still apply, though, so please be careful. You can use the the ones marked with the caution mark, of course, but you will get penalized. Oh, do you feel like the Techniques are useless? We have made the game more difficult and designed more around the Techniques, so please look forward to many challenges the game will provide!



Your daughter’s Power Up (Wish we have a cooler and more accurate name for this one) is still available. This is tied to her SPI now. The details? Let’s just say the better her SPI the better this power will work for now. When she uses this it she will get so focused it’s as if the time has stopped. Yes, you can stop the time with this. Great for when you’re in a pinch, huh? The cards will turn into rainbow too. Setting them up will give her Rainbow Power Stock. It will substitute any color for the Techniques!



This will strain her, however, so she will only be able to use it once per Battle. Use it wisely!

Oh, the Card list on the right will tell you which Card will appear when you Draw one. This is available when she has enough SPI. A great ability to have to be able to plan ahead!

The Supports’ Arsenal
Oh, it’s time to talk about the weapons.



To be frank, the weapons for the Supports are just cosmetic. But hey, those do tell how they will do their job, don’t they? Especially Becky and her indispensable dual-pistols.



Exciting Explorations
About the Exploration, this part of the game is 5 Zones away to be completed. I can’t share much, but I can share with you some stuff that you can encounter early on:





We have adjusted the game to only have 1 Node per Day in Explorations. In other words, you will only encounter 7 things at most within 1 Week of Exploring. We have to reduce it to ensure the 5 – 6 hours playtime target achievable. At least the amount of Years you have to dedicate to be able to clear all of them stays the same.



Also, the game now tells you what are the Stats that will be raised from Exploring the Zone. If you feel that Training feels sluggish at raising her Main Stats, maybe it’s time for her to take some strolls below.

This game sounds really interesting! I downloaded it today and started to play with it but after the tutorial when I should choose Ciel's diet I got an error message. I tried it several times to choose different diets but I got the same error. :(

Thanks for the report! We will try to fix it as soon as possible!

In the meantime, you could try to skip the tutorials and see if it should circumvent the crash bug. Sorry for the inconvenience.

A new build of the game (v0.34) has been uploaded and can be downloaded from the link above, it should fix the crash bug now.
Haven't got chance to fully played the game yet since somehow I couldn't progress through the game after I pick the schedule. The poor child stuck in first day's art class and couldn't move anywhere and I also couldn't click anything.

At 0.34 was only me that "begin at public school first week, anyway else it freezeing!" ( Although i succes play it at that first year at so on (without any crash(!?), after first week glicth... )

This game sounds really interesting! I downloaded it today and started to play with it but after the tutorial when I should choose Ciel's diet I got an error message. I tried it several times to choose different diets but I got the same error. :(

I put X at 0.34, and it works ok... But at 0.35 it do this!! :( :( .

Hi are you sure you played the correct version? The new 0.35 alpha should display this: - Demo Version: Alpha 0.35 -

It's confirmed that closing the menu by clicking the close button (x) on the right corner of the menu window will crash the game. The temporary solution for now is to close the menu by Right Clicking. We will update the build soon.

Hmm... Interesting think that only first week at that 1 day should be that public school.
Stamina/Disp/mood are better be enough high and stress not much more than 30
If they not that, week can begin one day rest and end 2*rest...( that cam be is use at 3-4 week?)
It's just better select player activity to party jobs. Normal diet... 5 activities and 2 rest... It's not just about these foces, but.. Anyway, when time continue there will be more and more possible training/job thinks, sometimes is better change these higher ones (at gym to swim etc).
Weakness can't avoid, although how annoying it is... But without it, girls stats going too high... Because them are seen random there can't be walkout to one "best" end...
What ever that be are... 10 years without bankruptcy/ or something like that is enough difficult already...

the status drop every new month is rather annoyying indeed, it's random and hard to determine. Perhaps you can replace it with each activity gives certain stat drop considering what I see, there will be a lot of stats to build. Advance activity didn't give enough stat, considering the monthly stat drop. For example,- swimming course didn't give enough endurance and sometimes give lesser than gymnastic course. In my opinion, when the player refuse to do encounter- it should reduce stress instead of adding them, since attending encounter also adding stress almost as much avoiding it (around 5-7 points). Also I notice Trinket, Fashion and Salon store sells same items? Or perhaps it's just alpha build? The battle is bit monotone, I enjoyed score and quiz since it has different and unique objective, maybe add enemy that mess with the deck. Also dicipline is kinda random? Because sometimes, activity cost dicipline but sometimes it's not (mostly not, I manage to maintain high dicipline easy enough without that lizard... food...) And may I ask why you can only do one social activity per week?

I don't know what I waiting possible alpha 4... 96 weak is more fun than just 48...
Maybe 3 years but better less bug than lots bugs with even more playing...
