With the arrival of Halloween comes RMN's first ever horror chain game. Tales from Rotten, Moonless Nights is a collaborative anthology of seven different horror stories made by seven different developers, all connected to each other by one entity. Each story ranges from 10-30 minutes.

Every story revolves around a different object - A crucifix, a music box, a lantern, a clock, a mirror, a book and a television.

STORIES

''Cross Sides'' by Frogge
Upon moving into a new home, a family begins to suspect demons may have taken over their daughter's body, requiring them to summon a young priest who specializes in demonic possessions to exorcise her.

''White Swan'' by Pianotm

CSS TEST

I doubt anything's gonna be a problem with the css since I basically copy pasted and edited from the CSS I made for the room of eyes but shhh
Huh, I didn’t even notice this until just right now, actually. Since when was there a Halloween Chain Game Event on here as of recently? Unless it was just between you guys that decided to do this, because I doubt this was made for the Revive The Dead 2 Event (unless it was).

Either way – this looks pretty fun and pretty solid to boot! I always enjoy playing these types of community games on here, so I’m definitely looking forward to playing this in the future.

This was based on a thread started back in September. :D
Oh, okay, now it all makes sense! I do vaguely remember seeing that mentioned on the front page some time back, but I guess I must have just brushed through it and not remembered it until you just brought it up just now. Thanks, unity. ^^

I, uhhh, don't get the question, sorry. I wasn't aware creeptacular shack had a translation, and even if it does, since all the projects are compiled in one folder adding a version with only one story translated would be... weird?
Download's been updated to fix the epilogues (broken across the board) and the save game issues in DOOMSDAY CLOCK. Highly recommend re-downloading if you've got the busted version.

@SmilingGenocide: sorry for the miscommunication, we're running it by Frogge but I think the plan was to post the RU translation as a separate download.
Hi, I downloaded the game and is it normal that there are already used save files?? Like they're not blank.

Weird, could've sworn I replaced the file with one that didn't have them. Might just wanna delete the save files and ignore them for now and we'll get to removing them asap >.<

Just finished playing this game, and I absolutely love how it turned out! It was a joy to play and kudos all around! My favorite story was probably Doomsday Clock, but they were all great! ^_^

PS There wasn't any music in Kloe's game. Was that intentional?

Doomsday Clock is def. the best selection, despite being a "kinetic visual novel."
finished it!!! it was great! And i think it was a great idea making 7 storys in one game. I also liked Doomsday clock despite beeing visual novel, and i really don't like this kind of rpgs xD wonder how it would end. But the story Killing Light had a really nice plot twist. Didn't expect that! Well everybody made a great job in a short time! Would love to see more games like that. Well done!!!

Woah, thanks for the nice comments everyone! :D

Doomsday clock was definetly the most professional and also my favorite, huge kudos to psy for making it (and also putting everything together because I was a lazy ass and pretty much bailed for the most part).

In regards to no music in Kloe's, she got it done last minute and didn't have time to pick out music. Probably in a future update that'll be fixed, not to mention mine is pretty bare audio wise aswell so I'll be adding in some diversity.

@NKSP - I'm really glad you liked the anthology idea! It came to my head while I was watching V/H/S/2 and I realized trying to create something similar in rpg maker would be a lot of fun (V/H/S is a movie series that is an anthology of short horror movies by different directors). I'm really hoping to host another one next year and hopefully expanding on the interconnecting story :D
