- This game was made within a month for the IGMC 2017 -

“We were out in the fields, collecting some food for the winter, when a crow attacked us and spooked my child so much, its soul escaped its body and clung itself to the bird!”

Story

You play as a mouse, whose kid's soul was stolen by a crow. A strange ghostly voice gives you the ability to switch into the spirit realm.

Gameplay

Visit some creepy places no one but you can see and solve some Point n Click like puzzles to finally reach the crow's nest.

Features
  • every of your interactions is at least slightly animated
  • hand painted environments
  • switch between two different dimensions

The current playtime is about 30 minutes and it has a very open ending. Depending on the overall feedback I may continue this project, after the contest.

Thank you! <3
Aaaw, I don't think I could ever achieve such a graphical qality though. D:
Really cool game, I like the hand painted environments :D
It reminded me a little of Legend of Mana from Playstation 1

Good game, I hope the second part and know who is the bad guy haha!
Aah, right - I did notice that. Oh well XD I did suspect it was my incompetence & not a bug, haha.
Awww, thanks for playing! ^-^ ❤
The Save can be accessed by pressing escape. (Maybe you noticed, that you have to hit it twice to exit the menu) It's a bit messy, I will separate these menus in a possible future update. :3

I'm glad you liked it overall. :3
The painted backgrounds are so lovely. The style really reminds me of Moon RPG.

Possible bug -
I couldn't move the cursor in the menu to the save/exit options. It only moved around the inventory box. Tried pressing different keys but couldn't figure it out.

Overall I thought it was really charming. Beautifully rendered and animated. Something about it reminded me of games I played when I was a kid. I liked interacting with the characters with and without items, just to see what they'd say. I also liked the wistful, dark tone combined with the cuteness of the little animal houses filled with human debris.

I would definitely play more of this. Good luck in the judging!
