Writer's block

It's just about to go 10PM, none of the team have not been online for a few days, and now I suddenly can't figure out how to do a particular scene for the game's story, even with the script in front of me.

Looks like I'll need to stop drinking tea for a while and move on to coffee. :V

Anyway, I guess I'll press on...

P.S. A certain surprise maybe coming soon, depends if it turns out okay, we'll have to see.

Name Change

Basically, I didn't like the title at all. I came up with the title years ago when I started this project, which is also when I wasn't as good at RPG Maker as I am now. The name sounded WAY too cliché, even for a Final Fantasy game, so it needed the change.

This also means I will have to re-create the title screen to show the name change, but it's nothing big.

I hope you like the name change as much as we do.

Paladin re-design implemented + World Map finally complete!

I was going to post this a few hours after my last blog entry, but me and the mapper saw a problem with the world map which we had to put right.

Anyway, to the news...

Our lead spriter was not happy with his first attempt with the Paladin sprite, even though the whole team thought it looked great, he said he could make it better, and damn was he right:


Say hello to the new Paladin Bartz.


We still think the other one looked great, but this one won us over the moment he showed us, I hope you all feel the same. =)

Next we have the World Map; I cannot tell you how much work our mapper put into this and I can't thank him enough (well...I am taking him out for a meal, I hope that is SOMETHING :V). Here is a screenshot of the map, sorry for the size of the tiles, I almost couldn't fit it on the screen:

Wow, I haven't posted here for a while, have I?

I should have updated this quite a while ago, since the project has been growing daily since the last time I actually posted. We have been adding quite a few new features to the game, including the old ability choosing system Final Fantasy V had, where you can choose two ability options to be used for your Freelancer job, or an extra when using another job.

Kaidou; one of our spriters has finally finished Bartz's new armored look and can now be seen in the job menu. speaking of the job menu, we have also given it a new look, thanks to our new spriter JosephSeraph!

Due to a few bugs, I had to redo the job system, this does not mean anything has been taking out, I just thought I would point it out.

I have also totally re-written the story, which means the homepage for this game has been updated (which you can see now), but I will not be posting all of the story yet.

Say hello to the full Bartz roster!



The roster for Bartz is finally complete!

After ripping V Advance for the Oracle and Cannoneer jobs, I have finally finished the full roster for Bartz's job page. I have not added the events to all sprites yet, that is is why "Freelancer" isn't coming up, even though I am right next to the job.
