• Explore the town, filled with unusual people to meet, secrets to find and fights to pick
Over 20 side-quests and other side activities – some of which may impact the main story, in a ways you wouldn’t expect
6 dungeons, filled with puzzles, hidden traps and battles
• A story merging satire, drama and cosmic horror – with many crazy events to experience and challenges to overcome.
• Three endings. Which one is right? Listen to your heart and decide...
• A quirky world, set in a warped version of a modern americana – filled to the brim with humour, weirdness, dangers and dark secrets

SpaceSave 1.5 - Original Soundtrack Presentation

Hello and Happy New Year!

While I'm busy with working on my new project and making it my main priority - I'm still slowly chipping away at a new version of SpaceSave. I've already planned out all the features I want to add, and while they won't be as grand as adding new quests/content or QoL features - they will be pretty gamechanging: most importantly vastly improved optional dungeon (which I've finished designing around a month ago) and the addition of original soundtrack.

Today, I'll focus on that second feature. Yup, I've decided that I want to (at least partially) replace the royalty-free music I've used in the game with my own "compositions"! This is also the part of the new update I've had the most progress, at the moment. And, well - it may not be fantastic, but hey - the game won't sound like a run-of-the-mill youtube essay anymore (and, dare I say, give the game more of its own identity)!

Recently, I've decided to release a chunk of the new version's soundtrack to the public. It's around 14 minutes worth of tracks and if you're willing - you can take a listen here:

VIDEO DOESN'T WORK FOR SOME REASON, SO CLICK HERE TO VIEW IT.
Sorry, about that...

I hope you like it! I'm still fairly new in this whole music making business, so I'll appreciate any feedback. As for, when the new version will release... I hope it will be still in this century and eventually - worth the wait. When I reach another milestone in this project - I'll be sure to let you all know.

Have a nice day (and a nice year too)!

Thank you.
It's a fairly new game, so that's probably a reason.
Reminds me of earthbound. Totally into this and trying it out. :D

Thank you for giving the game a chance! I hope you'll enjoy it!
Currently on Day 2, school.
A few notes; hidden for potential spoilers.

- I can't open the pdf file. If I do it shows a bunch of random characters all jumbled up. So any hints there I'm not going to be able to use. Maybe there'd be a way to add a 'page' to your game page that includes all the info? Might be helpful, or might just be me that has pdf problems.

- I didn't find the dog lover in the school, or city. Not sure if I was supposed to be able to and if so where he would be.

- Not sure what to do after finding the note in the sewers about the 'kidnappers', does the quests continue onto day 2?

- I love the open-world aspect to it, the exploration feel. If you ever plan to expand on this game, adding in a bit more findable equipment to obtain while searching random boxes/chests/drawers/etc would be fun. Like little accessories that give minimal +1-2 stats or small bonuses to feel like the player obtained something.

(I think the book that details the girl locked in a box is a hint to a collectable quest?)

I know I'm not even probably a quarter of the way in yet, and these are just initial thoughts, so take it with a grain of salt.

Definitely seems like a game to replay, though. Liking it so far. Also giving me a 'South Park Stick of truth' vibe in a sense.

Thanks a lot for writing your thoughts!

- Me nor my friends had no problems with accessing the pdf, but maybe problems occurs because the document was written in a non-english version of Windows. I'll put up a page here with all the manual's content some time soon.

- Yes, he is in school. He can be accessed from Day 2, but I think on Day 3 some NPC in school even namedrops his exact location.

- Yes, it starts on Day 1 and ends on Day 2. You need to deduce who that character is from the name that is in the note and then use a certain item on that character on Day 2(don't worry, this item is a part of the main quest, so you can't miss it)

- Yeah, I plan to add more stuff to the game and making better collectibles will be a part of it.

- Yes, it is.

i'm on day 2 but i can't seem to find the drink that is stronger than liquor. did i miss something?

Hey.
Are you sure that you're on Day 2? I think that quest is on Day 3, but it's been a while and my memory is a little rusty. Can you send me a screenshot of a character/place that requires it?

As for the item itself:
It's given as a reward from the big teddy bear in the player's room, on Day 3. It can alternatively be found in the chest, in the Forest, during Day 3 and 4.
Hey, man. Gotta say, this is probably the most enjoyable game I have found on this site. I just have a question concerning Day 2.

So, I just killed the vengeful spirit of the dog after getting the candles and translation. The thing is, I kind of forgot what the dog said at the end and I don't have any close saves to read it over again. I think he said something about finding another dog in the city to lead me to the killer? I'm not quite sure if there was more or not. Anyway, I talked to this girl who was hanging out with her dog in the city. I thought talking to her would advance the quest, but I just kept getting a normal response. The only other one I can think of is that dog guy named Terry or something inside the school. But, as you already know, I need to investigate the principal with Gary and that seems like it's going to be a huge quest that'll end the day. That's why I just wanted to make sure if I'm not missing any dogs to talk to before Day 2 ends or if it's even possible to finish that quest up on Day 2. Thanks for helping.

Hello, I'm glad that you like the game!

Regarding your question:
You need to destroy a big boulder behind the Chinese restaurant and then come back to the basement, where you've killed the ghost dog and destroy a cracked wall inside. Go through the passage and up the ladder - you will find yourself back in town and the dogs will spawn. Just follow the direction they are facing, afterwards.

Ah! I can't believe I forgot to go back to that place! Thanks for your help.

yeah, i think there's one that starts from day 2 and one that starts from day 3. i'm on day 4 now and i don't really have day 2 save so i can't recheck it though. since i don't have day 2 save, i'll post the screenshot on day 4 (they have gone):

1. the drunk professor

2. the game developer (i might be wrong with his position, but i'm sure that he's on the southeast area)

i never thought that the big teddy bear gives an item.. i completely missed it. does the chest in the forest respawned? i think i already opened them all and still didn't find any.

EDIT: i think i find it. i didn't open some chest because i thought they are chest demons, but it seems i missed one.

Thanks for these screenshots! Both of these characters ask for the item on Day 3, that's why I was a little confused when you said Day 2.

The teacher always dissapears on Day 4 and game dev only appears on Day 4 after giving him the item on Day 3.

So, nothing's out of the ordinary.

really? iirc, the professor asks for it on day 2 and 3. perhaps i remember that wrong.

anyway, i think i'm stuck. i'm in the last(?) dungeon (the general changeling dungeon) and i can't seem to find the third and fourth Object. i used my first and second Object on the blue room (southwest) and i can't seem to take it out. i can't advance in the red room (southeast) now because it's asking for 2 Objects. am i missing something again?

There are 4 Objects for 2 blocks. Here's the placement:

-One appears after destroying the damaged wall in the Storage Room
- One is in an alternative version of north-western area(red), where there is a switch in it's normal version
- One in an alternative version of north-eastern area(blue) - the same place where Blue Rune lies in the normal version
- And another one is in the south-western area(blue again), where the block that requires 2 of the Objects is, it appears after destroying the wall

thanks again! it seems that i didn't check the damaged walls. i just finished the game, but i only find two endings (ending A' and B). where is the third ending, i wonder?

ps: is the last boss beatable? i tried to kill it for hours but it doesn't seem to budge..

I'm happy that you've finished the game and with two endings to that!

The third ending is a secret one and the steps for it are pretty convoluted(even I had problems to remember all of them, while playing). To my knowledge - nobody, except me obviously, have found it yet, so I'll refrain from giving info about it for now. It's a joke ending, though, so you won't be losing much.

Oh - and that boss is not beatable. I'm going to make it more clear in the next patch somehow, because you're not the only one who's actually tried to beat him.

ah i see. thanks for the info! i guess i'll skip the third ending for now.

i think it's quite strange to have an unbeatable boss that needs a lot of effort to kill my party. plus, streph even said that i might be able to beat the boss, which is giving me some sort of hope of beating the boss. i'm glad that you are willing to improve it in the next patch. :)
Now I'm having trouble figuring out StarMaker's print. I've tried all the combinations I can think the print might represent, and it just keeps blowing up.

By the way, how did you make this game so good?? I usually lose interest in minutes or hours but I've been playing this one for days and days. Everything is perfect, well the only thing I'd wish for is a better map, but I can find my way around well enough.

Here's some tips and the solution to that Starmaker puzzle. Sorry, if they're a little sloppy but I haven't seen that puzzle for at least a month, so I had to figure it out again myself:

1. Put the jammer on the "exclamation mark" in the center
2. The compass on the print is upside down(or: flipped 180°), so the arm shows South
3. The airplane image is accurate, so it shows the plane's going in the direction to the left of the print
4. Now, check the "real" direction of the plane's image to the upside down compass

Solution:
Calibrate the antenna to East, since the plane is flying to the left side of the upside-down compass.

Thank you! It's nice to hear, that you enjoy the game so much!
