Mownt: For Peace is mostly untouched from the IGMC 2017.

The Mownt is a tiny race of bug-like creatures that are destined to face the threats of conquerors and predators. A nameless Mownt has just begun his blossom into adulthood and must face the harsh realities of the world. A strange force finds the struggle of this particular Mownt fascinating and hopes it can help guide the little creature to a life of peace.

The road to peace is long and seemingly impossible. The Mownt will face situations of certain death. Yet, in every significant outcome the Mownt will grow stronger as the long cycle of life reaches back to his story. Perhaps there is light at the end of the road.

Features:

- Multiple Endings Endings will come at you like bullets, yet with each ending the Mownt will grow stronger and gain a skill based off the outcome he got.

- All Original Pixel Art

-Original Soundtrack Personally crafted by both the developers!

- Organic Turn Based Battle System Each life will give you more skills to combat the foes with.

I've always meant to say something here, but I guess now is a better time than ever!

My brother and I made Mownt in hopes of reaching for the stars with IGMC 2017. We did it while being ourselves, though. We just got together and thought of this really strange world together and went with it. The challenge was how the game worked, there was a lot of different ways to play the game.

We managed to finish through a series of life shit storms, though we definitely needed a couple more days. We finished a few hours before deadline and submitted, not looking back. Ideally we would have ironed out some bugs, but that did not happen. The fact we managed to finish at all considering all the horrible stuff that happened during the month of October 2017 is nothing short of a miracle.

We did not win the grand prize, but that is fine. We got 9th place! To this day it's one of my favorite projects and I have a blast playing it myself.

I always juggled the idea of balancing and adding an additional boss fight (I always planned on having the Queen without being poisoned being the hardest boss fight). At the same time, I'm honestly not quite sure. What the game is now, minus a few bug fixes, is what the game was when we finished. It's the contest version, and that to me adds charm.

I liked the game's world enough where I always think of more ways to do it. Perhaps one day I will make a more improved version of what the game is now, multiple life paths that twist in turn until you get the full story. Or honestly, I even considered an Animals of Farthing Wood type of game with this setting and characters. None of it would happen anytime soon, but it's totally on my mind a lot as I see this to have potential for something special.

Thanks to everyone who supported us up until now! And thanks to rmn for featuring us for this month!

I liked this game! My favourite character was the Clinger :P
Fun fact, on my last IGMC project uploaded here the winner of that one ALSO had the first post. I see a pattern here.

You sir are suffering from a case of aura. Side effects may include: seizures, ranging from mild to grand... If you happen to be a bug creature.

I updated some minor issues of the game. Hope y'all enjoy this thing!
I had a blast making this. We had a rough month but I'm still incredibly pleased with what we made. I hope you guys enjoy this strange little world.

IGMC always roughs the participants up. ;w; Game making is super stressful with a hard deadline!

It was iffy if me and Minno would get our game in on time the last time IGMC was run. It was really dramatic about 5 minutes before the deadline when I scrambled to hand it in and then the starting position was wrong. We got it in on time though!

Anyway, your game looks rad! I'll try it out sometime soon~

I played and completed this. All things considered, it is a unique play that plays like a cross between a post-battle heal standing encounter RPG and a morally ambiguous visual novel. It juxtaposes the cute and the dire, as zDS games often do. Congratulations, zDS and PsiSteve. You guys have both created quite a distinctive experience. Recommended.

I found the Colonist Queen's account lol.

And thank you for the kind words CashmereCat. I'm glad you had fun!
Very unique game! I loved discovering all the storylines and various upgrades. The combat system is simple, but it works well here and I found it enjoyable. The game is short but definitely shines with creativity and an attention to detail. Great job!

Just finished this. Really enjoyed it, good job guys! zDS is slowly becoming one of my favorite game developers out there.
I like this game. :)
I just finished the first six endings, and I'm stuck on the final two. Hints?

--edit--

Just found it, finished the game with all endings. I quite liked it, and I felt really attached to the protagonists as I played. Congratulations on making such a beautiful game.
I encountered some graphical bugs.

These numbers came from battle and it seems like they won't disappear before the next battle takes place. I abadoned the previous life, but they're still there. Did you use picture for the damage values?

There's a black bar next to the save option. I'm most likely that it comes from the battle scene as well. By the way, I would suggest putting the HP/MP/Lv-Display in the bottom-right corner just because it would look more cleaned up.
