Metanoia: A Pyrrhic Victory is a small, but ambitious project. Most of the focus and details went into the battle and combat, but does not mean I skimped out on the story or maps!

Story
The world of Terrai, a world divided in four continents, four kingdoms. Recently on the brink of destruction due to war, famine, and death, is finally on the path of restoring relations and peace. While tensions remain high between world leaders and important figureheads, they learned that there is no point in continuing a pointless war. However, many know that this peace lays on an unstable foundation, and the slightest nudge can cause everything to topple back down into blood lust.

Metanoia: A Pyrrhic Victory follows the story of Enden, an exiled soldier of Lixon who lost his memories on the run. While he prefers to lay low while he recovers his strength and memories, he seems to find trouble wherever he goes. In the quaint village of Kazea, a young girl named Lily-Mata Asteria gave him shelter from a cold rainy night. Through her, they meet a man who introduces himself as James Willman, a foreigner who came to Lixon with one goal in mind, to rebuild the Adventurer's Guild. Now with the role of leader, Enden must remind the world that world peace IS attainable, either through inspiring others, or through an iron fist.

Break Status + Follow Up

Another change, added a new mechanic called the Break status.

All skills have a chance to break enemies, or you can utilize break skills instead to 100% break an enemy. However, using a break skill will put that character to "Rest", not letting them have any action for the remainder of the turn.

When you use the Break with a skill, then an additional effect will occur. These can be pretty simple, (e.g, the attack being a critical hit), or something that can turn the battle around(e.g, healing yourself, granting a buff). Not only that, but another character will follow up with a skill of their own, a "One More!" skill. Of course if they manage to apply a break AND use it all in the same action, then another character can follow up with a "One More!", up to a total of 3 times.
