The game is complete and ready to download!

After three very long years I have finally finished and released The Disrupted Monarchs. I have never worked harder or longer on any game in my life and I think it was worth every struggle throughout development. It was supposed to be a smaller project to help get more experience and a fanbase, but I just couldn't settle. I had to get my complete vision for the game out there and I hope I achieved that.

So many life events have happened during development and impacted the overall feel of the game, which is something I can't even truly explain. I've learned many new skills with my time making this and truly hope people will enjoy what I created. The final game has over 40 original songs created by me, about 100 enemy sprites and countless other original art assets. I've been using RPG Maker since the early 2000's and this is my first "big" game I've created alone with all original art by me.

I've heard from testing that the game is challenging and I've played it many times over to try to create a balance that is fair, yet offers a rewarding challenge. Expect to take at least 15+ hours to finish everything and I hope I added enough hints within the game to not be frustrating.

It just feels unreal to me that I'm finally done. I hope you guys will try this out and tell me what you think. Lastly, I'd like to thank zds for his amazing feedback and testing which helped me so much.

Now are you ready for EVERYTHING TO GO WRONG? Will time's disruption consume you? The mystery of Windmore County is dark. Kenny and Stephenson are in this alone, but they have to keep moving on.

Announcement

The game is FINALLY being playtested.

After nearly three years the time has finally come. I made the huge mistake of making the estimated release date May of 2018. What in the world was I thinking? Anyway, after moving 600 times across the country and many hardships, the game is finally being playtested by ZDS.

I just wanted to let anybody who's following or saw my page know that I have put everything into this and hope that the final version is ready by the end of the year. ZDS is suffering testing this insane project and ruining my life with his horrible(really cool and detailed) feedback. So I'm going to try and fix everything and hope people try this out when its ready.

Finally, I will probably start showing a little bit more before release but don't want to give away too much. This is the biggest game project I ever made by far and am nervous about everything, so I'm being incredibly careful making sure everything goes right. I can't wait for you guys to try this out and am thankful for anyone who has looked at my page.

Progress Report

Current Progress and Notes

I've been working hard the past few months trying to make as much progress as possible and I would like to think I'm doing pretty well. I feel like I am moving incredibly slow simply because I have a 7 month old baby and she is the number one priority haha. I don't want to make this blog long, I just wanted to let everybody know that I'm working as much as I possibly can. I did have a release date set for May, but that most likely wont happen. It shouldn't take much longer than that, though.

Here's an incredibly boring estimate of my progress:

Mapping: 70%

Enemy Art/Sprites: 80%

Soundtrack: 95%

-I haven't started battle animations yet, I'm just waiting to have every single enemy finished and my UI is a confusing mess at the moment, but I have time lol.

-I'll try to get some new pics in the near future, but I hate spoiling any surprises, so they probably won't be too fancy.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I'm pouring my soul into this game and trying to make sure every thing goes well. So far there hasn't been any setbacks except trying to find more time to work. If only I could break time like the game's story...
