It's finally here.

For those who have been holding off on starting the series, this is a perfect place to start! Act I+ is a fresh start and expects no past knowledge of the series. It brings in significant improvements to the story, graphics, and gameplay.

I hope you guys enjoy playing it!

Please report any problems you might find - if it turns out there's something we've overlooked, it might be a recurring problem in Act II onwards.
Out of curiosity,
where is the Act I+ supposed to start after you escape with Sand(I'll just call her that) Weapon and Umm.. The faceless guy (His name for some reason is so hard to remember.)
When you first play Auria.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, and you had this clarified in blogs.
I've played the original Act I and was only wondering, and slightly confused.

It's not a mistake. You'll see. It's the first of a few changes in the Complete Edition that will really throw off players of the original.
Oh okay!
I was so confused as to why it was different.
Well seeing as how you've changed things up,
I cannot wait for the others!
I like the new battle screen,
it looks really good!
Downloading it. Expect some feedback in a week or so.
pretty good.

hope the next 2 acts are longer, though.

start really getting into it and bam.. credits roll

Haha, yes, the other two are much longer. Act I is the only one that got (substantially) shorter in the remake.
ok now some bug reports and questions.

1. The skip cutscene feature is really buggy. If you skip the scene where auria and her mom talk she ends up walking snailpace until after "the event". not a big one but annoying nonetheless. if you skip the scene when you first talk to the creepy old guy in the hall of legends you end up facing north always and cannot turn, which makes it so you cannot talk to the guy on the bridge and have to reset

2. I don't really know how to classify this. You can keep leveling after 5 and your characters will gain their new skills, you get the 12 spendable points but nobody gets their level up stat boosts. is this intended?

3. Option > Return to title starts a new game.
4. (intended?) F12 closes the game instead of returning you to title.
5. counter is bugged. if the enemy attacks your counter person and you attack with them, your entire team's phase is skipped and the enemy attacks again. similarly (though it could be intended), if you attack an enemy with counter and they counter attack you lose the rest of your allies turns as it skips to the next enemy's turn.
6. Silver Watch doesn't do anything

Er...oops! I thought I fixed the issues with the skip cutscene feature. Thanks for pointing that out.

And no, your level is supposed to cap out at level 5 in Act I+.

The F12 issue is intentional.
Played it. That was fun! I love the game's aesthetics and the story line.
The running speed was somewhat annoying though.

Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the video! What do you mean about the running speed, though? That's the default in RMXP.

Hm, guess I'm used to auto dashing in vx games.
Nevermind, lol. haven't played a rmxp game in awhile ^.^;
Finished it with all sidequests and Auria's special accessory. I didn't notice any bugs, though I did notice two speaker tag errors (the chest in the cave with Kasch has his speaker tag after talking to him, the second conversation with the farmer in Montagne has his last piece of dialogue use Auria's speaker tag). I'm looking forward to the rest.

It seems a little odd that the Oltram and Garas entries are still in the journal, though. You don't visit them on-screen in the revised Act 1, they're never mentioned outside of the journal, and the journal doesn't explicitly say that Auria, Seri and Zaqris passed through them on the way to Barette. Songuil explains itself, but unless the player played the original Act 1, they won't know what these places are or why they're there.

Yeah, it seems I missed a name box clearing tag after the conversation with Kasch. And you raise a good point about the two Alibaas towns being in the journal. I figured that since you return to Garas in Act III that it's important for it to be mentioned.
