Progress Report

Complete Edition Progress Report!

It's been a while since the Complete Edition release of Act I+ and so far the reception to it has been fantastic! We've gotten a lot of new folks into the series and some more external attention. Since then, it's been a little quiet on our end as a result of balancing work on the Complete Edition with Awakening (and some other neat things), but it's all coming along.

The current game plan is to release Act II+, which will be bundled with Act I+ (which will have the reported bugs fixed), before the end of the year. We're really close, so with any luck the wait won't be much longer!

The game as a whole is extremely lovingly detailed, however. So much detail has been put into everything from the soundtrack to the cinematics that seems like every effort has been made to make the game look and feel polished and professional from every angle.

It's finally here.

For those who have been holding off on starting the series, this is a perfect place to start! Act I+ is a fresh start and expects no past knowledge of the series. It brings in significant improvements to the story, graphics, and gameplay.

Coming Soon (Kinda)

So, there hasn't been much word on the Complete Edition for a while. Here's where we stand:

Act I+: Done
Act II+: Pretty much done (save for a couple minor tweaks)
Act III: Mostly done

The new content we're adding in Act III is what has been holding us up for so long. The legacy code in the game has made adding new events really difficult without clashing with anything that's currently in place. After some discussion, we've decided that it's pointless to sit on Act I+ and Act II+ when they're (pretty much) release-worthy.

We're currently crunching for a milestone for Awakening, but as soon as that passes, our attention will return to the Complete Edition again. And I think we're going to start releasing what we've got. The original plan was to release them all together, but since Act III is taking so much longer, I think the best thing to do is to release them one by one. It's the same content either way, and there will still be a bundled version at the end, but it just won't all come in one neat package.

Nara is an enchantress-in-training with a penchant for mischief, particularly the sort which involves high-grade explosive magic. But she's never had to deal with trouble like Consequence before. Their chance meeting drags Nara unwittingly into a conflict with a cult known as the Virad.

After Consequence's abrupt disappearance, Nara has returned to the academy to relax and get back into the swing of everyday life. But news has recently surfaced connecting her late mother to the dark happenings of Lykken Corporation, a consumer electronics conglomerate which came under fire several years ago for egregious ethics violations in its bioarcane research. It seems that when she isn't actively seeking trouble, it's seeking her.
