The Characters

Name: Izuno
Age: Seven
Class: Sorcerer (Dragon Breed up to player)
Skills: Sorcery, Dracos
Equips: Bows, Daggers, Staves (in human form; nothing as a dragon)

Izuno is, though he is loathe to admit it, a baby dragon. As it happens, a seven year old dragon is at least as smart as an average adult. Izuno is quite a bit smarter than that. Fortunately, Izuno can take human form, and blend seamlessly into human society ... if he feels like it.

Izuno doesn't know what happened to his parents. He was adopted by the Time Dragon, the most powerful of the dragon Elders in RynTParthea, and the only one not to claim the title of Elder Dragon Baron. In many ways, Izuno is noticeably immature. He is almost fanatically loyal to the Time Dragon, and quite eager to please. Deep down, he believes that dragons are superior to humanoids in every way.

Name: Teos Gilgazem
Age: 191 (appears to be in his 30s)
Class: Chronomancer
Skills: Chronomancy
Equips: Daggers, Staves

Teos is a Chronomancer; a mage seeking to master control of time itself through the arcane arts. It is Chronomancy that has allowed Teos, a human, to achieve an age of nearly 200. Teos is a high-ranking member of the Chronomancer's Guild, which the Time Dragon is the true grandmaster of. Teos harbors some degree of resentment towards the dragons which the Time Dragon plays favorites with, Izuno included, and is quick to put Izuno in his place. Teos serves the Time Dragon not with Izuno's fanatical loyalty, but because it is the only way to further his mastery of Time Magic. Teos is a cynical pragmatist, and more than a little arrogant.

Name: Kara Taleran
Age: 18
Class: Noble
Skill: Fencing
Equips: Bows, Swords

Kara Taleran is the first woman to be knighted in her house, and is actually a strident feminist, although it should be noted she lives in a world where such a word/concept literally does not exist. Back home, in Fellgard, she is the leader of the Order of the Peony, a martial order of all female knights. She has come to Timekeep, home of the Time Dragon, to petition for aid for her home nation of Fellgard, on the northern continent. The cruel tyranny of the Ebon Dragon Baron Zylvidar Blackfyre has exacted a harsh price from her people. Fellgardians dream of a day when they will be out from under the heel of the Dragon Barons. House Taleran, and Kara in particular, embody that dream.

Name: Lydia
Age: 919 (appears about 19)
Class: Dark Acolyte of the Ruby Goddess
Skills: Paleweaving
Equips: Axes

In her nine hundred years on RynTParthea, Lydia has seen everything, twice, and probably killed it. For the Dark Acolyte of a Goddess of Death, Lydia is nothing you'd expect. She's flighty, flirtatious, sarcastic, and most unsettling... good humored. She also knows a prayer that can rip the soul out of any living being, leaving only a lifeless husk. Magic aside, Lydia swings a mean axe.

The Ruby Goddess has only one Acolyte at a time, and Lydia has served her exceptionally well for nearly a millennium. The Ruby Goddess is benign, as far as Deities of Death go. Her worship involves only the perpetuation of the natural cycle of life, death, and rebirth: She abhors necromancy. Lydia's reasons for coming to Timekeep are somewhat occluded, but she quickly involves herself in the events surrounding Voidsreach Tower, and doggedly pursues everything that follows. Lydia is dramatically more powerful than any of the other party members at the outset of the game, and clearly enjoys flaunting it.
