Hazmat Hazard!

Good day.
Another day, another review... this time the game is Hazmat! By visitorsfromdreams, this is a gamebmade in 2018 for the RPG Maker Jam #3 in two days. The theme was "Contagious". Heh.
Weird and ironic, considering the recent pandemic period, anyway let's talk about this game. A short and very linear game titled Hazmat, that is about a girl aptly named Hazmat. Hazmat is the last person to be infected, and she found a cure for the disease, so she has to look for the ingredients around town, solving some simple little fetch quests for the townspeople.

WHAT? In any case that tree doesn't seem to happy!

And all townspeople wear suits... hazmat suits! For this reason do not expect lots of different facesets and charsets, don't even expect to meet "real" characters... just a bunch of weirdos looking for some sushi or some items to spank themselves with. Yeah, I'm not joking!

The game has a cute appearance with its stylish gameboy-sh green and yellow sprites, probably the most memorable part besides the dark and humorous short story. The only real flaw is that it's extremely short, I admit I expected a longer adventure, by the way it never becomes boring or dull and it's pretty impossible to get stuck anywhere. I'll say once again, it's simple and linear, but also there are no issues, bugs error or problems of any kind, so that's pretty good I think!
For an event game done in a really short time, this is a well made work.

I think I cannot say much else without spoiling the fun of discovery to those who want to try it. So do that, play and say what you think about this! Total time to complete? For me it was 18 minutes.

Ok, so you now have a lot of free time. Time to read the...

Final Verdict
Hazmat is a quirky little game with a cute visual style. That's all. Uhm ok let's say that's just a mini, linear adventure with cute simple graphics and dark humor. Not bad at all, still not memorable either. Anyway it has a lot of style and well constructed narrative, and even if it's a game I won't probably play again, I'm quite glad I did!
