Welcome to Anthos City.
For a time, it was just a simple town like any other.
With (formerly) nine districts, that despite its noticeable flaws, worked quite well in harmony.
Then, something changed.
A strange disease called The Silence came to the city, attaching itself to all its citizens.
The disease slowly kills its victims and sometimes transforms them into horrible abominations.
Alongside it, a strange figure arrived with it.
Some people of Anthos have perished from the disease. Others started to praise the strange figure like some sort of god, saying that is a messiah that came to bring the end of everything.
And there are those who got even more miserable fates.
Some time has passed after that, and the city became radio-silent.
The surrounding communities sent people to investigate, but, for some reason, they never returned.
That's where you come in.
You are The Listener.
Taking a train to Anthos by demand of your superiors at The Department, you are now tasked to investigate what happened.
The city notices your arrival, however.
Now, it won't let you leave.
Promptly, it's up to you to make the best of your situation.
Try and save the city? Maybe escape from it?
You choose.
All there is to know is that Anthos had seen better days.
