It sure was a long journey! The heroes traveled all over the country, righting wrongs and undoing much evil. They destroyed the fiendlord's castle, slayed the demon forces, fetched every monster hide and skull available for every shopkeeper that crossed their paths and finally cornered their archenemy, the Dark Lord Argh, ending his reign of terror and saving the land!

The hardships endured were not in vain, peace once again looms over the horizon. A peace that all true warriors strive for is finally at hand. However, something's not quite right here...

Good (or at least incredibly interesting) use of Rick! Really wild to see him rendered in so many different styles (including one that's almost photo-realistic ;) ).

A game which feels like post-game content of a game that never existed!

This is also a fascinating mark to shoot for!

I considered my half to be at least semi-serious. Curious to see what you did with it, naturally.

I didn't know his name was Rick. I should really pay attention to the default names of the database. I've seen the games you've made and they're a different kind of style than mine, so I hope you can enjoy this offering despite it's quirks and lack of transcendence in the story department. I'm using this as a learning experience, but not without effort, as imperceptible as it may seem.

I'll understand 100% if you want me to remove you from the developers list after this is over, of course.

Interesting concept of the game taking place after the world's been saved, you two. I might check this out...

I just realized that I wanted to share my enthusiasm for thsi game again but I thought I had already posted here, seems that I didn't!

I'm really looking forward to this it sounds like it'll be an enjoyable ride all around and I can't wait to see how it crushes all my expectations, either in a good way or in a bad way. (maybe both!)
I appreciate it for its healthy bowel movement promoting effects. I look forward to checking it out.

Download is up. I appreciate any comments, bug reports and whatnot.
I tried ironing all the bugs out, but one or two surely escaped my sight.

Have Fun!

Really enjoyed the zany story, especially the opening and (true)ending! The gameplay boils down to "grind on the weak enemies for quite a while so you can grind the medium enemies and then you can grind the harder enemies so then you can fight the bosses" which isn't the most exciting, but all and all I enjoyed the game ^_^

This took me about an hour and a half to play from the introduction to the True End. Though, I was curious to see what the different endings were after each boss was defeated.

Maybe I should have went not-north first. The maps to the north were (for the most part) unaltered from my initial first half. The one surprise was the event at the end of that road. I did a few maps on the South Road, but, those maps were revised into something downright gorgeous. East Road, I never touched. While it was a tad laggy on my machine, those maps were equally as slick.

The cheat-skeleton was an interesting inclusion. I admit, I might not have known about it, aside from randomly seeing Liberty make a mention of it on Discord. That aside, CHEAT BEAM was pretty hilarious, and I will not disparage anyone from playing with it. However, because of certain developer knowledge (ie: when Power Up becomes available, and what it does), I played without it, still had a blast, one-shooting all the bosses.

I kinda like how the event with the Wind Spirit tied up the optional conversation at the North Road - Final Stop campsite. While the exact relationship Lucinda had with Emily-sama (which became Brynhild) was never discussed in my notes (or anywhere, for that matter), it was kinda heartwarming and hilarious at the same time.

PS: You are forgiven, Mirak.

I loved the prologue sequences, the voices, the artwork, and the "animated cutscenes". They were hilarious

Thank you for playing Unity! I'm glad you enjoyed the story bits.

It's a big relief that you took the time to post your thoughts, my anxiety was making sure I thought you hated it.

Yes, I insisted the players on trying out the game without cheats, since I also lowered the EXP requirements for level up a bit so that you still didn't need to grind that much, but I still had to include that cheat mode because you see, all my real life friends whom I pester to play my games are not computer OR gaming literate (suprising, but such a thing is still possible in this day) and they get frustrated really really fast by the prospect of playing a game for more than 10 minutes, so for the sake of my stupid idiot friends, I put that thing there. I'm glad you liked the CHEAT BEAM! Did you see the water disaster? (If you don't deliver the water crystal and jump to the ending), I was particularly proud of that one.

Did you see the water disaster?

This comment made me realize something, and I replayed the game (the short-short version) to be certain.

I didn't see the Wind disaster before, since I went after it first. However, that's been rectified.

*Edit: Somewhat related to this...

...and somewhat ironic to me is that I finished a play of Grandia Xtreme not terribly long ago? I forget the exact date, but, my guess is a couple weeks ago, at most. Anyway, that game involves the party looking into the "Elemental Disaster", and there were ruins associated with (in order that they open up in the game) Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. It's kinda weird, since the dungeons (and general game-world) feel post-disaster, but the characters keep saying that they are there to stop the disaster.

I mean, elemental-based dungeons are not a new concept, but, I guess I'm picking up this similarity anyway. That, and Grandia games usually have a decent humor angle, but, it's severely lacking in Xtreme.

The water disaster is the best disaster though. A little bit of shaking/tornados < a giant wave covering over land.

it's actually a loop of the very first part, it was going to be the instrumental version, but to reduce filesize I cut it. Thanks for playing!
