Let's have a look at the battle system

This Is Not My Final Form's main gimmick is "forms". Forms are esentially this game's armor. They come in three flavors: Base, Hybrid and True.

Your form in battle will be whichever is equipped in the top spot (If the Base and Hybrid slots are empty, you'll start the battle as your True form)

If your HP reaches zero or you use the PURGE skill, your current form will be destroyed and you will transform into the one equipped in the next slot. The usual progression would be Base -> Hybrid -> True, assuming all the slots have a form equipped. Each form has a separate HP bar, so as long as you have forms remaining, you can survive any attack.

If all of your forms are destroyed, you will be forced into Soul Form. If your HP reaches zero in this form, you are done for.

Destroyed forms are not permanently lost, but they take some resources to repair. Why would you ever use the PURGE skill to destroy them yourself, then? (other than to transform into a cooler demon without waiting for the enemy to pummel your face). Well, unlike when a form is destroyed by the enemy, PURGING it will refill all of your skill points AND give you a brief buff to all stats.

On the next blog post I might start talking about the characters. See you then!

Yup, this is officially the best thing ever.
.... sees this.... starts drolling.... looks at the text instead of the pictures.... drolling intensifies....... shout out: AWESOME!

Must have this... simply must have this... I gotta say Wheelman said exactly what I was thinking.... damn I hope this comes to steam or something like that soon but I doubt it will.... be honest you plot to kill us with the wait! Hmph what a vile and evil plan.... to bad it might even suceed. Well anyways I am looking forward to the finished product no matter how long I will have to wait...

Also the pictures look incredible. Especially the archdevil.
Interesting way of assign different forms. In other words, pretty clever way of doing 'new' things and take advantage of default assets. I like the way Turn-based games handles the in-battle transformation, for example I think you did pretty well in Doble Filo so I'm optimistic on how you are going to implement the system in this game.
Does PURGE use MP or WP? Hope to read furthermore in the future

PURGE doesn't cost anything to cast.

...Ok, that's not entirely true, it technically costs you money, since that is what is used to repair broken or discarded forms.

Is money limited? Or can we farm? I absolutely would second the ability to farm if it is not implemented for those that are.... bad at resource management or who simply wanna look "badass" most of the time. Though I guess ressource management would be interesting.... well not seen enough to judge something like that....

Also is purge an ability you can only use like once a battle? Or can it be used as often as you want? (Well I guess up to thrice a battle at most) If it is than it would be a interesting mechanic. Depending on how purge works (Does it end the round? Or is it an instant transformation and you are still taking damage? Do TP carry over or are they even used? Stuff like that) it could be used to.... mitigate or soften a blow enough that a strong comeback is possible. (Taking the damage to build up more TP (or to preserve TP you had) to use a fatal attack with the purge buff stuff like that basically....)
