WARNING: INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES.

He’s got two great jobs, friends, and a girlfriend most people his age would kill for. A skilled, hardened mentor that’s seen some of the most horrific wars known to man, and has done things that will haunt his conscience for the rest of his life. Not only is a house on the way, but so is a baby. He has a top-notch skillset, near peerless intelligence, years of experience, hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings, and a caring, easy-going personality to cap it all off.

In spite of it all, Ronald Marshall Cole wants more. Deep down, he struggles with jealousy, deep-seated feelings of impotence, anger, and whether he is living up to his potential. Or maybe he’s just greedy.

His best friend since childhood, Miles “Bruce” Baldwin, has equal, if not more ability to do his job, and even more respect and admiration from his underlings and acquaintances, but struggles with his own issues; womanizing, a somewhat flawed sense of empathy, and stubbornness. Kind-hearted and supportive girlfriend and fiancée, Rachel Collin Jacobs, bottles up her insecurities and drinks in order to maintain stability. Long-time companion, Felicia “Felly” Cameron, is eccentric and cheerful on the outside, but heavily conflicted and emotionally broken on the inside.

The rivals of this capable, but seemingly irrevocably damaged group of people range from the polite, eloquent but vicious and seductive Lamia and her psychopathic husband, Seir, to the three main caporegimes of the notorious Cesare crew. Chief among them is the top capo; the surly, profane and ferocious Trent Gallo, who holds a major grudge against Cole for reasons unknown. That’s not getting into the many creatures, petty but sometimes dangerous street criminals, and serial killers these guys tussle with on the regular.

Suffice to say, they consistently have a lot on their plate. They bust the bad guys and do good in general, but at the end of the day, their moral compasses and mental complexes are frequently called into question, no matter what they do. As they always say, nothing in the world is black-and-white. Even if you take it one day at a time, you never know if you’re but one second from snapping, and changing your entire life through pure impulse and selfish desire.

This is the story of OHMIC.

The first full demo of OHMIC has finally been released!

After around four months of development, the first full demo of OHMIC, the modern RPG classic, is available for download! A trailer, updated instruction booklet and numerous screenshots have also been released. Suffice to say, there is plenty for gamers all over to sink their teeth into until the full game is released later in the year.

Congratulations on making a first release of the game, Zoc!^^
While I think the mapping could use some work, since there are a lot of big empty spaces especially, the premise looks interesting and feels like something different from the usual jRPGs. Also, the game seems to features lots of very interesting stuff. Nice work!

Ohh, this looks very nice! You got a sub. I'm looking forward to seeing where this leads.
Thanks fellas! ^^ And yeah the mapping will be addressed progressively throughout production of the first full demo, I'm aware it's kind of mediocre at the moment. Appreciate the compliments regardless!
The first full demo of OHMIC is (roughly) done at last! Will be play-testing/recording footage/posting screenshots the next few days or so~
One last trailer for the full version of the game has just been uploaded! Check the media page for more details!

Downloads have been disabled for the time being; the game has gone under massive quality of life improvements since the first alpha release. As such, the final product will be virtually unrecognizable mechanically from the first two releases.

So, I kinda missed the progress on this page, but wasn't there a demo for this game? There's no download available sadly.
