First off, this is a fan game set in the dragon quest monsters worlds. Growing up my favorite game was Dragon Quest Monsters 1 and 2 for game boy. This is my attempt at an homage to that game while hoping to bring some joy and nostalgia to others who played it.
The Story
You play as Prince Teriyu, one of many grandchildren to the Old King Terry. King Terry has ruled Great Tree for many decades and is loved by all. But he is old and has fallen ill. He has many children and grand children so it is a shock when you, one of the least of them, are called to his sick bed after being told he wants to speak to you personally. He tells you that strange Travvelers Gates have been manifesting themselves and nonody knows why. Hes too old to go on another adventure. But of all his children he sees the most of himself in you. So he is giving you his trusty slime to start your own adventure as a Monster Scout and asks that you figure out what is happening with the Strange Red Travvelers Gates.
Information
This game will feature a mixed version of DQM mechanics, the Scouting system of The Joker series will be kept while the old breeding system will be reintroduced.
There will be hundres of monsters to Scout and breed, including all the classics. Im currently seeking a gifted pixel artist to commision who can draw monsters from the newest games for me in the old style so i can continue to expand the monster count.

Ive only just begun the actual work on the game. The idea has been in my head for over a decade. Currently woeking on the art and game mechsnics.
