Join us on Discord!

Across the Universe has a Discord server, now! It's a work in progress, but I hope to create a space for people interested in the game, with public area for people, and private areas for developers. I hope you'll take an interest, join, and help support the game!

Story details will be forthcoming.

And now, I offer more details! I have decided to include pages for biographies of the main characters!

Much of what I will be providing on the gamepage and its pages will be information that is either not found in the game (such as details of mission control's actions on Earth and of the work that Elkyuru's people do to bring her home.). I have created two pages for Christina's and Elkyuru's known personal details, their links below!

Constructing a Fictional Language

As I have stated to others in the past, while writing the story of Across the Universe, I have been constructing Elkyuru's language. I have tried to set certain rules and grammatical patterns so that I can create a believable syntax and so that the process of Christina learning Elkyuru's language can be believable to the audience. I have taken the reference that I have created and have organized it into a dictionary, knowing how my fellow geeks do so love fictional languages.

I had not originally intended to share this, and remember, it is a work in progress that may never be finished, even with the completion of the game. You can find the dictionary in the link bar on the gamepage to Across the Universe. I will also put it here.

Tech Demo Released!

A functioning tech demo that I feel reasonably presents what I'm hoping to accomplish has been uploaded and presented to IGMC. I had hoped to at least be able to present a full demo, and with two more weeks, I probably could have. Unfortunately, the scope of this project is much too large and I had focused on making the sure the basic character systems were working. I presented the overall appearance of the world, and what you can expect from the game, at least in the early portions. I wish I could have provided more, but I don't think I could have offered anything else. If I had tried, I wouldn't have been offering a project that I really felt close to.

That said, I wonder if this game will even meet the IGMC's qualifications.
