The Garden

Since the creation of the world, the Elves have tended the Garden, living in harmony with nature, at peace with the plants and animals of the world. It was a world that knew no violence or hate. Of course, there were legends of humans, a lazy race that the Ancient Ones sent to their own world when they would not tend the Garden.

Young elves were rare, and those youths that were finally of an age to tend the Garden without supervision were tasked with tending the Elder Groves. When elves grew old and weary of life, they would become one with the trees of the Elder Grove. The youths tended them as a way to learn discipline and respect for their elders.

Evari was such a youth. One day, a wizard claiming to be one of the mythical humans came to the Garden, and he turned her world upside down...
