I started having these strange dreams...
... where people around me were dressed as stuffed animals in places I haven't been, yet ones I knew. Even though they are only dreams, I still wake up sometimes crying.

Recently they have caused only trouble for me and our team, which made me wish...

...to never have dreams.

We only have to fulfill our daily duty.
We live in this world only with one scope; Fulfilling our daily duty to slay the monsters lurking in so-called "Fields" and gather all the Trid they leave behind.

As long we do this, our Lord Basileus will grant us his Blessings and provide us with his watch over our Sector.

Besides this, we are blessed to have the Solomonar family to help us defeat the unsightly monsters and keep the order inside our Sector.

Made Of Dirt does not have any Level / Experience related systems. The game's story will progress as you complete the Fields, and you can enhance your character by buying equipment with the Trid you get from monsters.

Several of the most important features:
* 1+ Hour of gameplay
* No Level / Experience / Classes
* Linear Story / 1 Single ending
* Game has 1 additional "route" which only reveals additional info about the world
* Custom Cutscenes
* Real-time Battle system
* 50/50 Storytelling (50 told by game / 50 told by the details in game)
* Many more...

Note 1: In order to unlock the additional "route", during the 6th day choose the upper Choice then reach the end of the Fields.

Note 2: The story has many more details in it, please think deeply to the motivation of the character behind their words / actions, these details are revealed by their words.

Note 3: Please contact us if you were missed you from the Credits, some of our Credits lists were lost during the development. Sorry for this inconvenience.

I'll start by saying that I liked the game very much. The Story is really good and the dialogues are well written. The graphics are what I liked the most. Not only all the characters had face sets but also expressions, which make the game even more fun and enjoyable, in my opinion. The cutscenes are also really good and made everything better/clearer. I also liked the battle-system. Unlike the standard one, this was more entertaining and not boring at all.
The BGM at the beginning was a bit too loud, I had to turn the volume down. I had earphones, so I don't know how loud it was without earphones. Another flaw was when I wanted to sprint I had to wait a tiny bit before the character actually sprinted. It was kinda slow. Other than that I've got nothing bad to say about this game.

Now, about the ending:
I didn't quite understand when Mayu said that it was all Hotaru's fault. That she created this hell for them. Not only that, but what were those animals? They actually are humans but dressed up as animals? From the cutscenes I understood that she had no friends but then Itsuki came and they started to hang out together. But then again, he had white hair in her dreams...
Which made me think if that person, in her dreams, was actually Mayu? And the game ended with her being at a hospital... So was she sick or something? How many endings are there?

One more thing, it would have been better if you would have showed what were those masked people's objectives and what they have against the government. Why the government used people to begin with, who this Lord is ect.. I think it would have made the game more understandable. But I understand if you wanted to keep it short. I wished to see more about Gomi as well, and... R.I.P Haru T-T He was so nice. It's sad they forgot about him.

PS: I noticed that in the menu Hotaru is named as "??????". Is it because she's dreaming?
- I really liked that cutscene with Itsuki and Mayu together with the soundtrack and all. Good job.
- It made me quite sad to see Hotaru going away without saying anything to Itsuki.

Again, I liked the game very much and I recommend it to anyone. Keep up the good work!

Hello there! Thank you for playing our game, it means a lot to us!

I will try to answer to several of your questions about the game:

Those animals were actually a representation of the personalities of the individuals Hotaru met, and the character without an animal mask was an individual Hotaru thought he was sincere. All those animals are metaphorical.

Also, Mayu said it was Hotaru's fault because Itsuki had to do all those things for her instead of just living his life normally. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but some dialogs refer to some actions to had already happened in the past several times, they are also a part of Itsuki's "hell".

The reason why is Hotaru in hospital can be observed only in the last displayed image from the game (where she looks through the window), I don't want to spoil anything so I will let you find it (it is a small detail).

And about the Society and the Masked Guys, the game is made to not reveal this information, yet... the night scene of 4th day (where they encounter that Masked guy for first time), the dialog of the Masked Guy reveals several reasons why are they fighting the government (where he states about "Primal Shields" and why he pities them).

There is only one ending in the whole game, but there is an additional "route" which only reveals information regarding the game's world (which also contains very important information if you'd analyse that scene in detail).

And no, Hotaru's name is displayed as "??????" because Hotaru is not her real name.

We are sorry if some information was not detailed/clear enough, we will definitely consider it for future updates!

Thank you again for playing!

"the game is made to not reveal this information, yet..." does it mean that there is going to be a sequel?
Btw, yeah I understood a bit why they are against the government, when the masked guy said that he pities them. (that masked guy's dialoue was hilarious, haha) But I thought that maybe the story would have digged more into this matter. You know what I mean? And why did Itsuki went through all of that for Hotaru though? I mean, I know that they are friends, but he pretty much "sacrificed" his life for her.

Anyways, if there is going to be a sequel imma play it for sure! Or whatever game you will make in the future. Good job, guys!

Just finished this game... Thought it was a generic fighting game when I was it at first, but the story, gameplay and characters made me change my mind...it was very impressive. You did a great job with it!

And about the ending...
About that, it's clear that Itsuki was very miserable and unhappy in his previous life, so he became attached towards Hotaru, who was nice to him. To the point of "sacrificing" his life in the dream world for her.

Unfortunately for her the meeting didn't have too much significance and it seems it was onesided. For Itsuki it was a meeting that changed his life but for Hotaru it was Tuesday.

Gotta agree the ending was very emotional and powerful with Mayu's cutscene and the music ending (haven't gotten such feelings since playing Chelsea) but to me the ending is hopeful somehow. Hotaru wakes up in the real world again while Itsuki is freed from his feelings of obligation towards Hotaru. As Mayu said, his feelings are clearly onesided and he was only hurting himself in the end.

Also, I thought that the animals in Hotaru's dreams were only a red herring, but I had no idea there was symbolism between them!

Hello there! Thank you very much for playing our game!
We're glad you liked it!

When you or someone have time for it, try the additional game "route" which can be unlocked if you reach the end of the Fields during the last day (if you chosen the upper choice) - it contains interesting information about the game's world!

Thank you again for playing!
Story heavy game but everything is quite vague so it's all up for interpretation. I didnt quite get much of what was going on except that there may be some kind of homura x madoka dynamic at play. Alot of backstory is referenced to but you never know about it beforehand so you can get confused really fast. On the gameplay side there is a very barebones action RPG battle system where you just kill as many enemies as you can in a short time limit as you farm money or something. However there is this extremely annoying chase scene where enemies teleport in front of you and you have to dodge them or get sent back to the start, it took me around 20 tries. But yeah, the story is pretty vague so you know.
