Evil Dawns follows the story of Sarah Brown, who is a 13 year old girl whose father and uncle go missing. The game takes place in a Mansion in the year of 1827 (you try finding appropriate tilesets for that year. The refrigerator itself hadn't even been invented yet,) that she presumes to be haunted at first. As the story progresses, she realizes not all is what it seems. She searches the Mansion, discovering clues as to what happened to her family and all the other people who have gone missing.

Through the game, you search rooms for clues as to what might have happened. The storyline can be found scattered throughout the mansion. You can solve puzzles to get items, or keys, to progress further. The game has no combat. Evil Dawns has 6 different possible endings. (You may have to play through the game a few times to get the best possible ending.) The 6th ending is only available after beating the game with one of the "good" endings.

Evil Dawns Update #2! [2.2.2]

So... I seem to have that Programmers Curse thing going. Fixed one bug and two more popped up. There was also another few really embarrassing bugs. I apologize for that. Changelog below.

  • Created and added the updated Maps for the Second, Basement, and Attic floors (the previous maps were from the previous horrible floor layouts)

  • Fixed a horrible bug that allowed the character to walk through, virtually anything

  • Fixed (with the help of my best friend) the problem where you could sometimes use items anywhere and it would unlock a door on the other side of the mansion!! I've spent months on this problem alone, so I am grateful for his help on this the biggest error that I actually had
