In these so called modern times, we have diluted ourselves into believing ourselves better than more primitive times. We have mastered the Earth, done away with silly traditions and foolish tribal god images. We have become masters of this world! We can create vast structures that touch the sky and even traverse space itself. We believe nothing is out of our reach or out of our control. But what if something sought to undo this? What if something, or someone, sought to destroy all of time, the universe and even the multiverse? What if they had the power, and no one could stop them?
If this happened, who would rise up to save us? Who could? Who would?
This is Suikoden Stories: Tapestry of Fates. This follows your story of a present day mild manner everyday customer service worker (now there is a headache) as his world turns from the dull daily grind to all of reality breaking. He will be charged by Leknaat, keeper of Fate and the Gate Rune, and The True Rune of Reminiscence (this game's unique true rune) to find the pieces of the million worlds and put everything back together. Will he be able to do such? Will he be able to weather the storm of different realities and different stories playing out? Will he, and the other 107 stars of destiny be able to?

Lucofthewind is my hero. Technically I have the beta version of his scripts that was used for "Suikoden Ace" in VX Ace that I had planned to use for Legion Saga when it was planned for Ace. If I knew enough about the changes to them to manipulate them... LS might look completely different right now. Lol
Between this game and Blackmoon Prophecy... I really want to do my Suikoden 6 or War of Succession game with Suikoden I/II rips. *shifty eyes*

- For my own part, figuring out how to get unites to work was a major pain. Glad to hear you've got 'em covered!
Was able to get it to work thanks to a simple script. I was able to also expand it and do the unites from Suikoden 1 style (they know it right away) AND Suikoden 4 style (they may get a unite the more battles they spend together).

Finally got around to giving this a shot. Except, apparently, there's a movie I'm supposed to watch first (or that I can skip?), but it fails to play. I noticed the "error_log.txt" file, which contains...
..this, and also peeked at the Movies folder to note that they are in mp4 format. The help file is very specific about what video formats VX Ace can play...
...so I'm a little confused/concerned by the inclusion of such files. Now, I grant that this statement is very much in reference to the "Play Movie" event-command. However, I would also assume it would extend to any scripting problem/solution that might come up, such as playing a movie before the title screen menu, or what-not.
Saying that, I'm certainly no expert on such matters! Still, I'm interested to know if anybody else has experienced this issue, and who hasn't experienced it.

Movie resources are stored in the Movies folder. OGV (Ogg Theora) files are the only format you can use.

There are several mp4 files in the game files that can be played thanks to a script. If you (or anyone else) is having problems playing them, a certain codec is just missing from your computer. I HIGHLY recommend the WinAll download as it's the best one I found so far.

My suggestion is the possibility to save on World Map.
Also, i'm in despair because i'm lost in Abandoned Base. I'm rescued Ryan and Sean but i don't know what i need to do now, since i can't open the iron doors anymore

Saving anywhere was added in the latest patch btw :)
I should probably get back to this, but, I did get this working to give it a try once. I wasn't particularly enthused with the main character. Like, I get that he's good at his job, even if he hates every second of it. He does his best to treat people with a minimal amount of respect, even if he receives none in kind. Saying that, if he thought he would be able to get away with acting like a jerk, he probably would.
Like I said, I probably should get back to this, if for no other reason than to see how he grows into the kind of person that has the personality, sympathy, and/or charisma that a Tenkai Star from the main series typically has.

Hey, thanks to this and a few other comments, I deiced to bite the bullet and do a bunch of changes I wanted to do for a while, but didn't feel right before. One of which is what you mentioned in your comment.
