Story
What happens when a simpleton farmer, a naive knight, and a conniving pirate are recruited by a deluded martial artist who thinks fantasy novels are actually prophecies?
Unfortunate shenanigans happen, that's what.
Join our four unlikely "heroes", swept into a typical fantasy RPG scenario gone hilariously wrong, as theysteal "liberate" four ~treasures of the elements~ on their quest to reforge a piece of junk the ~Golden Sword of Prophecy~.
Gameplay
Exploit your enemies weaknesses for massive damage in a simple, but engaging combat system.
Freely go all out, with full heals and freely replenished items after every battle.
Difficulty modes that can be switched mid-playthrough.
A short story (about an hour long) that delivers exactly what it set out to, and doesn't overstay its welcome.
About
This game was made for the Abrupt Ending Party event in the summer of 2019. After a little extra tweaking, I feel like it's got enough meat to be worth releasing "for real". Enjoy!

There are 2 downloads.
The main one is a full installer. Use it if you do not have the RPGmaker2000 RTP installed on your computer.
If you already have RPGmaker 2000 or the RTP for it on your computer, the second download contains a simple .zip file with the game.

CloseHi, I tried going reentering the first cave and got stuck. I loaded an earlier save file but if I had saved over my file I would have had to start over /
Installing and finding the game on my computer was different to how I've usually seen it, took me a little bit to figure it out ~ maybe an option for a desktop shortcut would help ?

Dang, yeah, you're right, it checks for the wrong item to teleport you out. I'm sorry, I'll get that fixed and upload it ASAP.
As for the second thing...Eh, that's how RPGmaker 2000 works. If you want a more traditional zip file install, it's there too, but the site kind of just shows a single installer. >_>
