A small notice by a smol doggo

Hello everyone and hope you are having a great day.
(If not, please remember to smile :) Smile for me, pretty please?)

Anyway, the purpose of this blog is to serve as a minor update for my fellow friends and followers(whichever you are, I love you all). Thank you so much for the patience and the lack of updates. You all deserve an update after the past months.

Also here is the current progress of the game:
-All the new characters and their respective pictures/skill cut-in etc have been implemented
-All the musics submitted have also been included!

Why is the game not updated yet?
-I'm still trying to implement a real rhythm game ._. sorry. (With new music too!)
-Also I forgot to implement the icons which tells the player what each skill does.

Note about rmn musicpack 2 music:
Initially I wanted to include their music along with the new characters update, but...Let's just say I think they deserve a special standalone update for them :3

Again, really thank you all for the patience. And yeah, just to tell you all this game is not forgotten/abandoned.

Announcement

1.2 Update, smol but important bugfix. Also, notice on updates

Update log 1.2:
-Fixed an issue where when you previously lost a battle, the game incorrectly saves the previous char's info to the current selected char stats when you win the next battle.
-Added a zip version download
-Streamer version is now renamed to rar version(both are still stream safe)

Future Update Announcement:
Hello fellow friends, it's been a while :3

And I know some of you guys(someone out there, I know you care about this game as much as I do, thank you so much TT ) are expected to see the promised December character+content update. Unfortunately due to some real life issues(Also rmnmusicpack 2 delayed to 31/12/2019) I am sad to say the update is going to be delayed.

Really sorry to those anticipated it for christmas. On the meantime, I did made a Christmas owl game also in unity, so take that as a replacement? I'm really sorry...

Progress Report

1.1 RMN event version Update!

Version 1.1 at 14/11/2019:

Fixes:
-Fixed an issue player could just smash all buttons to win. Now, pressing the wrong key or without the notes will damage the player instead.
-Fixed an issue where miss counter would not reset.
-Fixed an issue player could continue add-up misses when the game is over.
-Fixed an issue player would get damage when game is paused and keys are pressed.
-Fixed an issue player can continue get damaged when the game is over.


Stuff Added:
-Added a controls/how to play picture.(Still in progress, don't mind the placeholder XC)
-Added a picture of the game's logo on startup(The config before the game, the part where you select resolution and graphic settings.)
-Added gradient colour to Skill texts. (So instead of plain yellow, now it's yellow and orange gradient)
-Added a "Press Enter to Start" when entered a new game.


Balancing:
-Re-adjusted everyone's level, hp and damage. Hopefully now everyone will be more consistent and songs will play longer.(Everyone is now lv1 except Ozzy and LockeZ)
-Changed Zoey's "flare clear" to "Note clear" for better clarification.
-Pudding can no longer haste/slow notes. Now only have healing skill.(Pudding is a beginner friendly character. Thus, nerfing it)
-Ozzy and Odd now have 20% shield instead of 25%.(Their note haste/slow remains unchanged.)
-Nabeshin's damage skill multiplier increased from 3 to 4.(To balance it, he now have lower damage. So to compensate, higher skill damage)
-Most character's lv1 Hp have been adjusted to 1000, with some being 600.
-Exp gained is now compared by player and enemy's lv instead of a constant 5.
(E.g Lv1 vs Lv3, gain 2 exp per note, if same/below, a constant 1 exp will be given)

Internal change:
-Changed format of text in game into Textmeshpro. For players, less blurry text.
-Updated unity version from 2018 to 2019.2.11f

1.0 Fixed Applied:
-adjusted haste/slow to 6 secs instead of 2
-Added mouse cursor and changed game icon(You know, the orange RMN on your desktop)
-Fixed an issue with save files

Future plans:
For November:
-Add/Fix/Optimize game. Specifically the lag when pressing start(loading screen missing)
-Create custom status icon/status effect to let players know what is happening when skills occurs
-Add a controls picture to let players know what the controls beforehand.
-Add the "Press enter to start" text.
-Reconstruction the game.(Refer to game exploit page)
-Skill Effects.
-redraw/beautify(is that a word?) some rushed old assets.
-Internal change: Change text system so it's more flexible and less blurry.

For December:
-Try to make save reset.
-More music! And now without event/streamer restriction, I might be able to add non-copyright music for personal uses!
(Fix will still be applied to streamer version, separate download)
-More buttons! Let's be honest, up down left right is too easy.
-More characters! Refer to "Recruiting You" in top nav bar!
-Collab with RMNMusicPack 2! Yes, this is something I wanted to do when I saw RMNmusic pack event!(Moved to Dec due to event's extention)

I still wana try make an actual rhythm game :c
